Sony's PS3 is full of so much technology that it's rumoured the company makes a £165 loss
on every £300 machine sold – hoping to recoup the money later from the games. There are nine processors built into the console's cutting-edge 'Cell' chip, the first of which is a 3.2GHz PowerPC core, similar to that found in Apple's G5 computer. The graphics-processing unit is a 550MHz chip with 300 million transistors – that's more than the total number of transistors in the PS2, Xbox and GameCube combined.
Other designs include: KEF MUON SPEAKERS, CANON EOS-5D and BREITLING CHRONOMAT
