Toronto Thumbs: Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 Review

Toronto Thumbs writes: "There are a lot of Naruto games. So many that there should be a separate section on Toronto Thumbs for them. Would this be a good thing?

Cha(nnaro)! Of course!

Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 (known from now on as NCoNR2) is the latest in the North American releases for the popular fighting franchise for the Nintendo Wii. The sequel to NCoNR, this version presents new characters, new challenges and a lot of fun.

As always, the primary complaint about the Naruto: Clash of Ninja titles is that they don't really change that much in their inevitable sequels. NCoNR2 breaks the mold by being an exclusive North American release, rather than a pale imitation of the Gekitou Ninja Taisen versions from the land of the rising sun."

It's a good balance. So many reviewers are not fans of Naruto and so many fans are not reviewers of video games. This guy happens to be both.

Ten best fighting games on the Wii

GamerTVnetwork.com:
"The Wii has never gotten much respect from hardcore gamers. The console's motion controls are often scoffed at as is the large library of casual and family-friendly titles. An extremely large selection of what many would consider to be shovelware hasn't helped things much, either. And while most of that lack of hardcore enthusiasm is well earned, Nintendo's motion-controlled console has scored some decent fighting titles -- some of which have been Wii exclusives. Let's take a look at the ten best on the system to date:"

SC Legends isn't a fighting game....

Venoxn4g5033d ago

Dbz is better in my opinion the TOL.
Naruto CONR2 should be on the list because 3 is why better because of online story etc.
TVC look better than punch out.

you guy can disagree but these are just my thought

SactoGamer5033d ago

DBZ should totally be at the rear-end of this list along with any and all Naruto titles. Just my thought.

DethRob645033d ago

All 3 Naruto Clash of the Ninja Games Heck 3 Has Online Play and it is not on the list.

50 percent of these games are garbage! Soul Caliber: Legends? Seriously? SSBB is incredible though.

Gamertell Review: Naruto: Clash of the Ninja Revolution 2 for Wii

Gamertell has posted a positive review of Tomy's Clash of the Ninja Revolution 2 for the Wii.

From the review:

"While Super Smash Bros. Brawl has ingrained itself in the minds of Wii owners as the fighting game, people who've beaten that game, enjoy the Naruto animated series or are simply looking for a cheaper fighting game should keep Naruto: Clash of the Ninja Revolution 2 in mind. It's a solid game with lots of single and multiplayer options. In fact, if it did have Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection multiplayer, it would probably be the best Naruto game released so far."

VGGEN: Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 Review

VGGEN writes: "As my Naruto-obsessed friend has shown me, the Naruto fighting titles have simply been newer renditions of themselves over and over throughout the years. This is even reflected through their titles, as there has already been a "Clash of Ninja", and then "Clash of Ninja Revolution". Now, with Clash of Ninja Revolution 2, we're getting a superpowered dose of, well, more of the same. It's apparent that in order to sell a Naruto title to fans like hotcakes, changes do not need to be made. However, that does not count of any of the series from being fun and interesting fighters that make competent additions to Naruto fans' game collections. It just means that the series seems to be stuck in a rut. But hey, if it ain't broke, why fix it?"
