There've been a series of Tomb Raider mobile games, from 2D platformers to 3D adventures, and even a puzzle game. Now EA Mobile is preparing to release the latest in the series, Tomb Raider: Underworld.
Hang on a mo: EA Mobile? Yep. With Eidos having exited the mobile industry, EA has signed a licensing deal to release a bunch of mobile games based on Eidos' console brands, including Tomb Raider.
Pocket Gamer had a go on the new game, and can report it's looking pretty nifty. It's gone back to 3D, although that's the graphics – you don't have full freedom of movement in the environment. The idea is to get around the control restrictions of mobile, something the game does well judging by our playtest.
