Wow talk about haters? Show any other time on earth that another company sold 95% of all consoles?

Gemmol1602d ago

Nintendo need to stop playing around and make more.......that’s the problem with not having your own factories Sony can stop production on another item to help make more ps4 if needed same with Microsoft and Xbox........Nintendo should try to get a factory or at least a small one if they worried about up keeping it

Teflon021602d ago

You know Nintendo would never do something so beneficial for the consumers as to up production. If they keep up with the demand, they'll lose alot of the hype and ppl who buy impulsively because the low stock lol. That's where the initial hype came from in the first place. Look at the SNES mini. The moment they decided on a regular release where it's actually available. the big hype about the mini didn't even matter anymore since it was purchaseable lol

Shiken1602d ago

Then why has the Switch continued to fly off shelves while there is not a lack in supply? It really is not that hard to find.

King_Noctis1602d ago

“ If they keep up with the demand, they'll lose alot of the hype”

So in other word, just throw money away for this so cAlled “hyped”?

“ Look at the SNES mini. The moment they decided on a regular release where it's actually available.”

You do realize that they advertised it as a limited console, since before the release date right?

Imalwaysright1602d ago (Edited 1602d ago )

You don't have to be a genius, you just need a little bit of common sense to avoid making such stupid comments. If the demand is high why would Nintendo or any other company/business in the world purposely limit the quantity of their product(s) on the market? What purpose would that serve other than to lose money?

indysurfn1602d ago

SWITCH has not been hard to find for over a year and a half now. This is why they had SWITCH 170,000 to PS$ 7 thousand and xbox on 1 thousand. If they was hard to find they would not have been able to sell 170 thousand in one week.

Foxxconn manufacture the Sony PS4, not Sony, same with Xbox, Foxxconn are one, if not the biggest 3rd party manufactures in the world, 500k people work at their facilities.

jukins1602d ago

Actually it's both. Sony EMCS Kisarazu manufactures in Japan and Foxconn in china

Gemmol1601d ago

Sony do it mostly with some help from Foxconn

Fraggle19871602d ago

I just dont get what games people are playing on the switch. Maybe it gets japanese games that we dont know about over here. Otherwise im stumped. It is a lot cheaper now with the lite so maybe just impulse buy. Also handhelds fit japanese lifestyles much better.

SamPao1602d ago

There are many games available on the switch. Just check the sales charts. Its not that different from the rest of the world

meganick1602d ago

The Japanese prefer portable gaming.

Sophisticated_Chap1602d ago

Exactly, just what games are they playing...Arms? Really though, there is not much that is great on that platform other than Super Mario Odessey, BotW, Mario Cart and although I'm not sure if it's out yet, Smash Bros. I haven't been looking at the software charts for some time, but have any of their games, outside of the ones I just mentioned, been at the top of the charts?

KeenBean3451602d ago (Edited 1602d ago )

Every new Nintendo release usually hits top 10, with Luigi's Mansion 3, Ring fit adventure and Pokemon S/S in the top 10 consistently since release. There is arguably too much to play on switch currently as Nintendo's 1st party offerings have been incredible this year in quality and volume.

AWBrawler1601d ago

I'm no expert here, but maybe you don't know what they're playing because you admittedly don't look at the software. I mean you don't even know if smash is out, and its been out almost a whole year now. The switch has a huge selection of 1st and 3rd party games, and not just ports. Theres quite a few exclusives and multiplats.

King_Noctis1602d ago (Edited 1602d ago )

“ I just dont get what games people are playing on the switch”

Let me get you up to speed, exclusive games released this year alone:

Super Mario U Deluxe
Yoshi Crafted World
Boxboy+Boxgirl
Cadence of Hyrule
Mario Maker 2
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
Fire Emblem Three Houses
Astral Chain
Daemon X Machima
Zelda Remake
Little Town Hero
Luigi’s Mansion 3
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Game
Pokemon Sword/Shield.

We’re not even talking about third party games like The Witchers 3, Wolfenstein Youngblood, and Mortal Kombat. So are you still stumped?

Sophisticated_Chap1601d ago

That is a list aimed at little kids, which is why I wasn't aware of what has been coming out on the system.

Outlawzz1602d ago

I don't get how you don't get what games people are playing. The switch is all over the place and has some great exclusives this year alone lol

indysurfn1602d ago

There are THOUSANDS of games on the SWITCH. A lot of times they release games within 1-3 weeks of announcing that they will come to SWITCH. Heck the hardest to make games they have over 470 of them on SWITCH already. Namely RPG's. Just go to Eshop and you will see them.

Here look over 3,000 games while only being on the market since 2017

jukins1602d ago

Well it's the tried and true franchises. Mario part 100 mario kart 8 super smash part 1000 pokemon etc. Nintendo fans, and rightfully so, will buy any nintendo franchise no matter what

King_Noctis1602d ago

So in other word, you haven’t read my post that is literally a few comments above your comment?

kneon1599d ago

I've been back to Japan twice since the switch launched and I only ever saw one being used, and that was by a couple of kids on the flight to Tokyo. So I don't know how much they are actually being used as a handheld. At least in public, they appear to be non-existent so the handheld aspect may not be much of a deciding factor.

Well and the sales will be even lower compared to other consoles next year. New Consoles are coming out and most of the people that really wanted a PS4 already bought one when it came out forever ago. Plus Switch caters more to the odd games that they like in Japanese culture.
