"In truth, Quantum of Solace is a bit of a letdown. The licence is there, the cast is there, the story is there and the high-quality game engine was already there. It shouldn't have been that hard to get everything else into place but yet somehow, the game ends up feeling somewhat disjointed. Some exciting action sequences work very, very well and there is a genuine feeling of innovation running through the levels at times, but the basics just aren't solid enough to carry it through to being a rewarding and compelling experience. The fact that its probably the best Bond game to hit the shelves since Rare's awesome take on GoldenEye doesn't actually say much, other than to reassure everyone that they are getting closer to that elusive mix."
