Ken Barnes writes:
"The entire game is solidly made, beautifully designed, well presented and pretty much packed with things to do, but the decision to not allow the player to exact their skill or be punished for a bad navigational mistake in a game that claims to be free-roaming is a terrible one. You'll have to make a choice. Either you can put up with the ridiculous AI, or you can't. If you can, then you're in for one hell of a fun time in one of the games of the year. If you can't, then you're liable to get an hour or two out of Midnight Club: LA before it all becomes too much and it goes back to the store. Your mileage, quite literally, may vary."
