It would suck to develop a game and have it be one of the games on this list.

Overall I still don’t think the risk is worth changing your PSN ID

It's 9 games on the list. 2 are older baseball games. I think the number of people affected isn't going to be huge given what the issues are with the game. A couple with clans or player progress maybe, but when you factor in that one not only has to still be playing these games regularly, or often enough to notice, AND want to change their name in the first place...I think the number of people that will have any issue is going to be rather small.

Even Nintendo did name changing better

DillyDilly1828d ago

We still can change our names with no issues & for free at that

King_Noctis1828d ago

...which has nothing to do with changing name.

Why even bring Nintendo into this? In terms of online they are still in 2001. Idc if I can change my name online if the service they provide is still horrible. One of the highest rated custom stages in smash is a stage simply saying "Fix Online" for a reason...

Too bad everything else related to online is so weak comparatively.

This makes me feel that we're never getting PS3 backwards compatability since Sony is just going to want to sweep all these issues under the rug as best they can. Sigh.

Wasn't this supposed to cause mayhem on PSN?

You know how dramatic some gamers can be. Just check out a couple of the comments in this thread.

If it was what was easy for them, it wouldn't have taken them so long to implement it, and they wouldn't have given a damn about having a beta, and just roll it out. None of us know how much work it took just for them just to come up with the fix they did, and unlike you, I'm not going to pretend like I know.

And,Im sorry but, I don't take anyone that ends with "for the players" seriously, especially if they're trying to be taken seriously.

Build an entire new database.

And how exactly would that solve the issue when the games themselves still access the old database?

The issue is the structure of the old database, and the software written was written with the structure of that old database in mind.

Sony has enough skilled software and network engineers who know enough to not just half ass it. You say, "For as long as they've been working on it", and you think that they haven't considered numerous solutions? You think they picked what you think is the easiest route? Chances are, whatever the issue was that caused the original problems, this was the best solution they could come up with that would have the least amount impact on the end user.

9 games on the critical titles list. All of them still playable. At most, people will be inconvenienced by it. Only people that want to change their PSN name. It's not the end of the world, and within a few years, it won't even likely be an issue anyone thinks about anymore, except to dredge up for their silly fan boy arguments.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos5h ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
