With the report of two new Nintendo Switch revisions coming later in 2019, I break down eight improvements I'd like to see in the new consoles.
Everything listed seems plausible and reasonsble. Though im not sure how realistic it would be to expect better battery life with a bigger, higher res screen and more processing power.
Apple normally manage it.
Honestly most of that progress in power efficiency was notably during Steve Jobs's final days in the company. The iPad-to-iPad 2 most notably had such an astonishing improvement while retaining battery life, and that was because of the improvements made in power efficiency from the die-shrink (45nm transistor to 32nm). We'd be able to see an improvement if Nvidia would provide a Tegra chip with either a die shrink from 28nm to 12nm or upgrade the Switch with the latest Volta-based Xavier SoC.
It's a Nintendo product so dont expect them to do much especially trying to impress children which the switch is for.
⬆️ ⬆️ ⬆️ 🚨 Troll alert!! 🚨
Depends on di shrink reduction for the chipand if it's a newer chip with more performance per watt. If they choose an oled screen they would save battery life for equal size while having a better picture
all l want is a stand that isnt on one side so it's useless and a charger port not at the bottom so l dont have to buy an accessory to play on said kickstand. also have the ability to turn off the console with the hold home button. so far all it does it put to sleep l believe and thats a battery drain if you forget about it. l love the co-op on the go joycons so l dont want to see them frozen on.
I just want a console... Cut out the screen and portable idea. Give me a console for less money and I'll buy one
Yes, you and five other people. Terrible idea
I need to jump on the Switch train, I'm tired of packing my PS4 with me when I travel for work. At least it doesn't have a massive brick...looking at you OG Xbox One of mine. Besides BOTW, what do you guys recommend for a gamer who hasn't played a Nintendo console since NES?
Xenoblade chronicles 2 it's a really good rpg
Is it a jrpg? Those are usually not my speed.
It’s very much a jrpg - full of cringy laughs, talk about friends and perv jokes. It totally threw me of the game, though I can see that it is a good game. But it’s not my cip of tea.
Definitely Splatoon 2, Xenoblade 2, Mario Odyssey, and Yoshi for some light platforming fun. Also you are in a real treat this year. So many awesome games are coming to the Switch.
if you don't like JRPG then skip Xenoblade 2.
Bayonetta 2, Smash, Doom
As a ps4 guy who just got a Switch last week, I can say you wouldn't be disappointed. Offers something completely different to ps4 that you wouldn't get if you went to something like Xbox instead. Joy con controllers feel a little light and cheap but the unit itself is nice and most of the software is unique from the type offered elsewhere.
New Super Mario Bros 2 U Deluxe. Cuphead comes out in a week or two. Civilization 6.
Even if you don't play Xenoblade Chronicles 2 you should definitely still check out it's soundtrack. One of the greatest soundtracks EVER, along with the first game.
you can get a Vita and a 5g hotspot and play your PS4 anywhere, as long as its connected at home and ps now is supposed to let you enjoy your favorite playstation games anywhere you got a screen and internet and controller, havent tried it but sounds cool , i was playing god of war and GTA5 on my vita like that
i really like the clam shell design if they did that id be super happy i hate the joycon sticks they aren't grippy enough
handheld clam shell
Pretty lame I dont feel like Nintendo has released enough games since 2017 to warrant a second purchase.
My unpopular opinion is that while the Switch does travel better than its competitors, it’s really not a great handheld. It’s just way too large and bulky, and yes, the battery life is a huge drawback. Props to Nintendo for creating a device that travels and supports local multiplayer, so there’s that. However, it just isn’t as ideal as a 3DS or Vita for carrying around or extended on the go gaming. It’s certainly more powerful than those devices, but its hybrid design IMHO is still better suited for gaming at home or maybe bringing it to parties or places where you at least have a surface to play on, and if you can bring the dock and connect to a TV, so much the better. It’s not going to get you through an 8 hour flight, that’s for sure, and it will take up more carry on space than an average handheld. About the only way I can think of to fix this though is to release a smaller SKU, but there would be pros and cons to that.
I expect mediocre improvements as the items listed in this article are accurate, How is the Nintendo switch the best console actually??
Those 8 wishful things for a nintendo switch pro Nintendo may do 2 of those things like better battery like and more powerful switch
Tegra x2 with 1080p screen would be awesome...and some 1080p enhanced visual while docked....i have alway found the color a little mehh on the screen...better screen could be really nice to.
I hope it will not be like the one in the picture. That's one ugly looking handheld.
Smaller Bezels, Tegra X2 or newer, Better Kickstand, Oled Maybe, 1080P Maybe, Better connection on Controllers (Less Lag) , Better Dock that doesnt scratch the screen, better placement of power cord, if one friend has a Copy of Mario Kart and 3 friends have there switches, be able to each play on there screen for 1 Hour using only 1 copy of the game , its rodiculous that me and my bro have to buy the game twice to enjoy it together without screen look cheating
I’ll stick with my vanilla Switch. I also skipped out on the xbone x and PS4 pro. No midgen upgrades for me, but if it’s your cup of tea, go for it.
Docked only version and I will buy. It will be surprisingly popular
Back up saves for free and a better dock is all i ask for
