Which Console has The Best Exclusive Games in 2019?

If you’re picking up a console, you probably want to know which console has the best exclusive games in 2019. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have many hardcore fans who are ready to argue in favor of the console they own or are planning to buy. From a consumer’s point of view, everything including the hardware power, content, and track record of the console maker matters a lot.

2019 is not in the history books yet to come up with an answer to this question. It's February thy black man.

NarutoFox36d ago

We know that Microsoft had a rough start with Crackdown 3.

gamingunited36d ago

Regardless of Crackdown... it's not going to be Microsoft.

SuperSonic9135d ago

Dang! I thought I read 2018.
Well for 2018 it was Dad of Boy.
For 2019 RE2 and KH3 are indeed at the top tiers.
Can't wait for Days Gone!

G3ng4r35d ago

Do you see the irony of your calling your Mickey Mouse game "top tier" despite it being the most disappointing entry in the core series?
Resident Evil 2 is good, I'll give you that. Neither are exclusives, though. Let's stay on topic.

G3ng4r35d ago

What we're looking at here is Days Gone vs Mario Maker 2, Link's Awakening, Pokemon, Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Bayonetta 3, Yoshi, Daemon X Machina, Shin Megami Tensei 5 and Dragon Quest XI Definitive.
This isn't a serious question.

remixx11635d ago

Yeah I can't deny this, after that last direct Nintendo will have a monster year. Also joker for smash and possibly someone from dragon quest

Hardiman36d ago

Well 2019 has only just begun so don't blow your load. Let's see what actually comes out and meet back in December!

EddieNX 36d ago

And the answer will be a resounding win for Switch. Most exclusives and highest selling exclusives. Next

The 10th Rider36d ago

Come on man, I like the Switch and I think their 2019 lineup right now looks absolutely killer, but it's February right now and we don't even have solid release dates for most games for any platform. It's February and there's barely been anything released. Nintendo's first big game doesn't even come out for a month and a half and after that it's pretty dry until Mario Maker 2 in June. Saying they have the best 2019 exclusives when most aren't out for four months or more is just ridiculous.

EddieNX 36d ago (Edited 36d ago )

Gooper I'm enjoying them both on my Xbox one X.
Stop trying to be clever and stay on topic please. This article is about which of the big three has the best exclusives in 2019. The answer is a runaway victory for Nintendo. They simply have way more than the other two. And in terms of sales, will destroy the other two.

10th rider. The article isn't about who has had the best exclusives so far is it. It's about 2019 and Nintendos exclusive line up is by far the best. I've said this like 19 times now. Any one who disagrees is in denial.

stillwaiting2, the topic is 2019 exclusives, not games that may be out in time to make ps5 launch.

Currently announced lineups suggests Switch however all could change yet... still early doors!

salmonade36d ago

How in the hell can you ask which has the best exclusives of 2019, when 2019 has barely even started. This article should be at the end of the year. Stupid.

yellowgerbil36d ago

Dreams won't be the best exclusive of the year. It will be the best exclusive of all time

Hardiman35d ago

I have to agree because after the Beta it's pretty incredible because you can't literally make any game you want.

Skankinruby36d ago

This answer is the same every year

Shiken36d ago

Not so. Nintendo had the best exclusives in 2017 and PS4 had 2018.

For 2019, my money is on Nintendo. Astral Chain looks like an amazing new IP, 2019 Pokemon, Daemon X Machina, Fire Emblem, Link's Awakening Remake, Luigi's Mansion 3, Yoshi (which looks far better than expected), and Animal Crossing will all be amazing and push a lot of Switch units this year.

Sony will be right behind them, but one or two big games won't be enough to beat out Nintendo this year. Quality over Quantity, but it seems this year Nintendo has both. We will not know for sure until the reviews and sales numbers are in, but things are looking up for Switch.

BrettAwesome36d ago

Yeah. It's a win for Nintendo if you're like 12 or something

Skankinruby36d ago

Nintendo had 2017? Please enlighten me how. Ps4 had Nioh, Horizon Zero Dawn, Hellblade, Gravity Rush 2. Yakuza 0, Nier Automata, Persona 5, Uncharted TLL, Dragon Quest Heroes 2.

You dont seem hostile so I'll just leave it at that, but Switch is proving itself more and more to be a niche novelty item. Not insulting people who prefer it at all, but it's not even remotely close to ps4s any way at all.

Babadook735d ago

Yep. And on top of that, Ps4 had much better multiplats which would reallly make Ps4 the best place to play in 2017

@ Skiken

In 2017 Metacritic stated that Switch had 13 exclusives with a 75 or over released that year and PS4 had 20 exclusives with a 75 or over released that year.
- In 2018 Metacritic stated that Switch had 10 exclusives with a 75 or over released last year while PS4 had 13 exclusives with a 75 or over released that year.

Proof that PS4 won the exclusives battle in both 2017 & 2018

List the 2017 games for both systems.

Information is already available

"Go on the website and see for yourself"

I have and I don't see where it lists the exclusives. Just gives a number and no information on what titles go into making that number.
