Time will tell if Apex Legends has the staying power to challenge games like Fortnite for average players, streamers, and eyeballs on Twitch, but out of the gate, it sure is looking like it might be the next big streaming sensation.
I saw a few rounds while my son was watching on Twitch today. It's WAAYYY more interesting to watch than Fortnite. Stuff Actually happens. It will definitely be very popular to play and watch. Hope it gives Fortnite a run for its money.
It's like Fortnite(without building), Blackout(without vehicles), and Overwatch in a BR game.
Exactly. Apex Legends is the best most complete BR execution so far. That said, we will start to see a shift to a more sci-fi/fantasy premise in BR games after AL and then the BR craze will start to fade. I can already see the BR fatigue set in. It got me and most of my BR addicted friends, I mean you can only do the same thing over and over again, doing it in a different "skin" can only get you so far.
I honestly feel this is the best BR experience in a long while. There's a perfect balance. The weapons are cool, the game is just fun and it sinks it's hooks into after two matches. And makes you want to get better. The ping system makes playing with randoms great and I love the tension of a match. Im looking forward to how Respawn fleshes out this game. Really think they've stumbled upon a major hit here.
i tried playing a couple of rounds and it wasn't fun for me at all. they put you in a random squad of 3, you're dropped in a map away from people to shoot, which are mostly far across the map. you spend a good chucnk of time looking for a gun to shoot and by the time you get to some enemies they'rs a countdown timer for something that you have to get away from... is that what a battle royal is for these types of games? i don't see the fun in it and I'm not undertanding the hoopla surrounding them.😕
thats the base for any battle royale game. as you get familiar with the map, you will know where exactly to drop to find the good stuff. some times you get in fight early. sometimes you have to wait a bit longer. i tried every battle royale game out their, i mean the popular ones, this is the first that got my interest.
