I wonder why they downgraded the destruction in the game.. The game is gonna flop hard

Not sure why you got disagrees, the destruction got downgraded hard

What we were shown: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
What we got: https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Honestly looks no better than what red faction guerilla did 9 years ago: https://www.youtube.com/wat...

personally i never cared about the cloud features or the multiplayer, so i couldn't care less. Still getting it and gonna love the hell out of the single player, but the whole cloud thing got nerfed

Red Faction Guerilla did multiplayer destruction much better last gen, than what Crackdown 3 is doing with the power of the Cloud today.

To try and answer the initial question... I can only guess it had something to do with the gloudgine tech that was initially used. Up to that point, before Epic acquired it, I assume it was coming along. Things changed and they had to go with plan B.

I'm actually curious if MS can control the level of cloud assisted processing (CAP) based on player count in a session. The lower the number of concurrent players, the higher the CAP. Tthe more players the lower or some balance to keep the game from stuttering due to processing of external assets for all players.

Internet speed is going to be a factor and how many hops the connection to the server a player makes. It would suck to have a building blow up in your session only to find that another player has a lag and it just pops out of view for them instead of them seeing the same explosion.

The game is not gonna flop just because of some downgraded destruction. If anything, it will depend on whether or not the game is fun and can keep you hooked for a long time.

It is such a sad time when we have people who wish games to fail.

Game will be fine. It's on Game Pass, and the SP actually is said to be alright. MP(not wrecking zone), I've read varying reports on. If it's fun, it may have legs, but there are some pretty strong MP games out right now that are going to be dividing people's attention. Fortnite took away from BFV, so it's likely that CD3 won't really pick those players up if it's not really good. If it's not exceptional, at best, it'll be a passing fancy. I don't think wrecking zone is going to have much of an impact on anyone though.
