Jacob St-Amour from Link-Cable Writes: "The MOBA genre is widely dominated by two different titles in League of Legends and DOTA 2. Both have become eSport giants with a community that has already millions of gamers playing around the globe and is constantly growing only begins to describe the success that these two mega-franchises have been able to achieve over a short time. It’s no wonder that there have been many attempts to try and replicate the same level of accomplishment that these two games have been able to garner, but none have yet come close to dethrone the kings of the MOBA. Arena of Valor is yet another game to try and compete with the giants of the genre and while it may not get the same reputation as some titles, offers different ideas to make it its own."
From Xfire: "MOBAs might not have gotten their start on mobile platforms, but it's clear that the genre was built to be played on the go.
The ability to go in for a quick match whenever and wherever is what has led to the numerous mobile MOBA games that are currently out on the market today. But, because there are so many to choose from, newcomers to the genre might not know which one to play and why a particular game is worth playing."
Although Wild Rift hasn't even been released, you can clearly see its impact on existing mobile MOBAs. Will it dethrone Mobile Legends and Arena of Valor?
