Final Fantasy XV's Hajime Tabata is leaving the team and going solo. What does this mean for DLC and why should anyone care?
No it doesn't
Maybe they shouldn’t take 50 years to release a game? 33 million loss is pretty ridiculous.
Or maybe they decided to focus more on other titles, such as KH3 and FFVIIRemake. Maybe they want other divisions and teams to help the others to further enhance the games and speed up the development. We don't know, we can only speculate :)
It's just sold 8 million copies. Despite what this article and other folks are trying to peddle, AAA games DO NOT need DLC in order to be profitable.
No but going the GaaS only route definitely spells trouble, they will lose more money that way.
I really hope they focusing on FFVII remake which is most wanted project not just for FF fans but to all gamers, any new announcements will holding FFVIIR project from progressing especially if Nomura in charge on now project. We waited 10 years for FFXV (was FFvsXIII) and in my opinion the game was below my expectation...
square enix should just focus on releasing good games complete at day one, like dragon quest XI actually. not shit games like the quiet man or cows to milk until dry like final fantasy 15 (if they stopped with the crown update and the first season pass, adding nothing more to the game, that would be better). i'll buy kingdom hearts 3 for sure, but i don't know if i'll buy future games from them... i'm skeptical about FF7 remake too
Couldn't agree more. DQ 11 is the only game I like from them since FF 12.
i liked world of final fantasy too
