Great opening for Spider-Man. This is around 3X as much as God of War did in the first week in Japan.

The Japanese Spider-Man was very popular in Japan like Kamen Rider.
I hope there is a Japanese Spider-Man costume and Leopardon in the game.

Fun Fact:
Spidey in Japan actually starttef and popularized the giant robots trend for Super Sentai aka Power Rangers in live action TV shows.
Thanks Spidey.

Very nice, also good to see Persona 5 back in the charts.

Same thing happened in the UK. It even destroyed Far Cry 5 records, a multiplat game.

Waiting to see what the numbers are in the U.S.

Sony got themselves a goldmine..

Take note, other greedy devs/publishers.

So true and really that's what has turned me off to quite a few companies! The major ones who are trying to turn the industry into a subscription based , microtransactions dumpster fire have the resources to fund games like Spider-Man, GOW and any of the other successful AAA titles but they don't! I wish they'd copy the blueprints Sony has laid out in allowing talented devs to be creatively free to create amazing games!

Just imagine how much this will sell through the fall too with Black Friday and Christmas around the corner.

It probably will cross over 10 million copies... Making it Insomniac's best selling game...
