'Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy' takes an 8th week at the top - UK Charts

Activision Blizzard’s new release ‘World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth’ is the only new title to make The Top 40 this week, but has to settle for No3 as ‘Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy’ takes an 8th consecutive week at the No1 spot. The last time this occurred was during the back end of last year, when yet another Activision Blizzard title ‘Call of Duty: WWII’ claimed the top spot 9 weeks on the trot.

Elsewhere in the charts, ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ climbs one place into No2 as ‘Lego The Incredibles’ drops down 3 places to No5 after 5 weeks at No2.

The story is too old to be commented.

5 of the 10 first games are for Nintendo Switch (individual formats). I think the european market is coming closer to Japanese one.

and MK8 outselling God of War, who would have thought. Switch is definitely starting to gain some momentum over in the UK, no doubt.

We've said this multiple times

It's an article about Crash Bandicoot, like the last one, we don't need to know how well Mario Kart is doing all the time or the Switch...and then to shoe horn in how it's outselling God of War. I mean they're just sales man.

End of the day Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is what Mario Kart 8 should have been.

@Foxtrot - it's a sales chart, it's about everything that is currently selling. And yes, when you combine three platforms, Crash is selling the best. I am genuinely surprised that MK8 is not only the best selling Switch exclusive, but also selling better than new games a year later. God of War is a fabulous title, its sales are justifiably good.

I am sorry that my comment offended you and your delicate self.

Geobros87d ago

No, it is not an article about Crash. It is an article about UK charts.

You just posted earlier "so I guess McDonald's is the best food in the world because they sell the most each year? Come on, don't try to throw numbers around" and yet here you are bragging about sales. Apparently, when you said sales don't mean crap you only meant it for games not on Nintendo hardware. How can you be such a hypocrite?

OB1Biker87d ago

Everyone is speaking the truth but you got to admit the big news here is Crash although funnily marginalised in the first comments.

Neonridr87d ago

@Gameseeker - I never once discounted sales. I just said it's not the be-all-end-all. Call of Duty sells better than most exclusives. Does that mean it's a better game? Hardly. MK8 is a great game though, so it's sales are deservedly so. Just like Monster Hunter or God of War or Horizon or whatever.

My comment was directed at someone who complained that I brought up MK8 even though MK8 was the highest selling individual game this week and has been for the past several. If you have a problem with me spouting facts, then I am sorry.

Gameseeker_Frampt87d ago (Edited 87d ago )

No, you actually did discount sales. You literally said "sales don't indicate crap."
"MK8 is a great game though, so it's sales are deservedly so. Just like Monster Hunter or God of War or Horizon or whatever." Only problem with that is that when someone did bring up the sales of MHW as a sign of it being a great game, you responded with your McDonald's comment. You are such a hypocrite.

As for you bringing up MK8 sales in response to someone else, that isn't true since Geobros who you responded to didn't mention MK8 at all. You were the first person here to bring up sales as a way of saying something is better. I don't think anyone is surprised that MK8 is selling so well since Mario Kart is Nintendo's biggest game.

@Gameseeker - fair enough, thanks for the reply.

The Switch is catching on in Europe.

I am glad spyro got the delay so they can put all the games on disk

Ugh; man, for the life of me I cannot figure out why the hell crash bandicoot is selling still. Eh, well Im not going to ridicule those who are enjoying it though. Like I always say, that's the great thing about having options. And as long as they are enjoying themselves, then I guess that's all that matters. Want to side note, it's certainly great to see Mario Kart 8 doing so well still. Awesome game and definitely deserves the Evergreen success

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about that dude getting all cheek chafed over your comments.. Especially given the irony that we never see that joker running around crying about sales when they're throwing them around here constantly during worship. It's like a damn Caligula after party with virtual orgies on top of the sales numbers & all when certain companies are going on with said numbers.
