Damn those are kinda LOW numbers for all 3 Platforms... Playstaion sold 1mil in a week

LucasRuinedChildhood39d ago

Even weirder still, Crash Bandicoot was fastest selling game on Switch this year when it came out.

Gemmol39d ago

not really, everyone who wanted it already got the game already, for it to sell this much a year later is basically selling to the people who do not own more than one system

gamerzero39d ago

When Tomb Raider launched on xbox first it sold better a year later on PS4.

Gemmol38d ago

@gamezero

did you not read what I wrote

"for it to sell this much a year later is because it is selling to the people who do not have more than one system"

DwightSchrute0139d ago

Agreed. It will never sell like Mario game because the quality just isnt there like the majority of playstation first party games.
I know crash is now 3rd party but still doesnt have that replayability or quality gameplay feel to it.

I would have bought it on PC if it was released on it at the same time as PS4 when I was excited about it, but a whole YEAR later at full price, yeah, no thanks, lost interest 11 months ago.

InKnight7s39d ago

But you guys(PC) payed full price for ports maaany times. FFXIII trilogy as example.

KaaF39d ago (Edited 39d ago )

@InKnight7s I know it takes a ton of stupidity to be a fanboy of any company, but I hope that amount is not enough to stop you from using google to know the XIII games launched with pretty much all DLC for around 15$ on steam.

neocores805539d ago

To people saying people already have it. Does not mean anything this just shows the Crash and so on dont sell well on other platform

Not the numbers Activi$ion was hoping for I think who no doubt thought "Look how well its doing on the PS4, lets milk this cow". On the PS4 however its sitting close to 4 million if memory serves.

showtimefolks39d ago (Edited 39d ago )

Games like these are known by playstation fanbase so no matter what crash and spyro will always have better sales on playstation

gamerzero39d ago

*cough* Everthing sells better on PlayStation, from multiplatfoms like Call of Duty and Tomb Raider to exclusives like God of War and Gran Turismo.

Gemmol39d ago (Edited 39d ago )

the numbers are estimates first off, second everyone who wanted it got the game already, the people who are buying it now are the people who only own one system, so if you have a switch, xbox and ps4, and you already got it for the ps4, theres a very low chance you buy it again for xbox or switch, for those who like to play games on the go, well thats the only reason to own it twice, so I can see switch version outselling xbox version like this article state, and since all the versions play in 30 frames even ps4 pro, and switch, it do not bother ps4 owners picking up the game for the switch because the frames the same

so anyone predicting this game to sell as much as ps4 version in its first week are delusional at best

Shineon39d ago

I have the Ps4 version theres no reason to buy the xbox version especially since its still stuck at 30 frames

SockeyBoy39d ago

Take this with a grain of salt. I've seen crash high up in the charts for the NS and X1 ever since it was released.

Gemmol39d ago

like I told the others above,

the numbers are estimates first off, second everyone who wanted it got the game already, the people who are buying it now are the people who only own one system, so if you have a switch, xbox and ps4, and you already got it for the ps4, theres a very low chance you buy it again for xbox or switch, for those who like to play games on the go, well thats the only reason to own it twice, so I can see switch version outselling xbox version like this article state, and since all the versions play in 30 frames even ps4 pro, and switch, it do not bother ps4 owners picking up the game for the switch because the frames the same

gamerzero39d ago

You keep saying that so I guess I’ll keep reminding you that games that launched first on xbox go on to sell better on PS4.

CaptainSellers39d ago (Edited 39d ago )

The vast majority of the Crash fanbase, especially the original 3 games are on Playstation. Whilst the estimates could well be a little bit off, expecting this to even come close to the numbers on PS4, especially in Europe is crazy.

Inzo39d ago

Yes it is high, its currently no. 1 in the UK but just dont forget that the charts include PS4 sales as well.

Segata39d ago

Stop referencing the garbage site known as VGchartz. They are always WAY off.

KaaF39d ago (Edited 39d ago )

Not to mention it only accounts for retail, digitals including the whole of freaking steam is not accounted for at all.

Razzer39d ago

lol....exactly. And I'm just laughing at those PC numbers. 672 people actually bought an empty box with a download code inside.

mastershredder39d ago

Not Surprising. Crash was the game hype in its day than really engaging gameplay compared to what was available at the time. If it were not Naughty dog, I would have been glad to forget about it.
