Uncharted 4 In First Person Is Bonkers

Uncharted 4 obviously features Nathan Drake getting pulled back into the adventuring lifestyle. The opening is a smattering of domestic moments that sell the game’s emotional beats, but it’s even better in first person.

Modder thekempy has altered the emotional cutscene away from the limited 3rd person of the original game and into an intimate, focused first-person camera that allows you to see the work that went into the motion capture and facial animation for the scene.

Cool isn't it? Naughty Dog has the best animators in the business.

I don't get it. Feels like first person on TV is more limited to me since theres obviously not as much to take in. It's literally limited to an artificial first person view without peripheral vision.

We’re the lighting changes that were throughout always there? Or was this the Modder occasionally altering the light to create a different effect? Interesting either way!

It's same as film, nearly every take of every shot has very bespoke lighting for best composition/mood. what looks good in one shot can look terrible with even a few degrees of movement. that lighting difference is when it's usually going back and forth between drake and elenas face, a shot of both, then a shot of the painting.
