The headline had me remember that time five years ago Microsoft mentioned they expected Xbox One to cross 1 billion in sales.

However this article is about indie titles. I thought that Microsoft announcing every Xbox One be a development kit for free would have some huge impact on it this gen but I haven’t see much come from it.

“With the marketing and promotional successes of games like the 2017 smash hit Cuphead, it seems that Xbox is starting to get the hang of how to help developers successfully promote their titles and bringing more major attention through their storefront.”

Microsoft had a hang of this in the mid 2000s. Idk how they managed to lose that indie edge to Sony later on.

That is hilarious. 1 billion. A little short there skippy.

Oh and 100 million 360...short again.

I think that statement was misinterpreted cause 1 billion is unrealistic and by that read he suggested it was at 400 million already. I think it's safe to say it was about games sold and not consoles

Awesome, keep up the good work.

[email protected] is a really cool program for indie developers. Cant wait to play games like Ashen and The Last Night.
