UGO writes: "The Age of Empires franchise made its transition to the DS back in 2006 with Age of Empires: The Age of Kings. The game marked the RTS series first foray into the realm turn-based tactical warfare, and it surprisingly made the transition beautifully. The signature elements of resource management and technological advancement that have always been at the core of the AoE franchise worked well on Nintendo's handheld and the game provided enough tactical depth to keep players coming back for more. Despite a few game-killing bugs (frozen screens during game play and saves), the Age of Kings managed to secure a generally positive reception from critics.
Just next month, the follow-up to Age of Kings, Age of Empires: Mythologies, will be gracing the DS again."
