The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is a dream based narrative that wears its premise on its sleeves proud.
Very underrated game, wish that the main series would take risks like this instead of sticking to the conventional Zelda - Link - Ganon concept.
BTW i meant currently, The series hasn't taking a risk narrative-wise since Spirit Tracks which was 9 years ago
I agree, same with the Oracle games and there was Majora's Mask but people either loved or hated the time limit.
Majora's Mask is my favorite game of all time, i can only dream about an actual successor to that game. the oracle games were such a unique concept for the period they came out and to think that it couldn't reach its full vision, due to the limitations of the GBC hardware. It also was one of the few times that third party developer was able to even make a zelda game, with a legitimate budget.
I liked the time aspect of MM. I just didn't like everything else. The story was really stupid and the world was dry. The story was probably even worse than Breath of the Wild's.
I remember this game making me tear up as a kid.
Link's Awakening was deep. Also, arguably the best Zelda game.
The best handheld title for sure.
idk about the best Zelda game, but it has one of the best stories in the series for sure.
I said arguably lol. It's my personal favorite. I don't expect it to be universally accepted as the best or most important by a long shot, but I sure as hell could argue it xD
I loved Link's Awakening, perhaps the only touching story of all the Zelda games.
