Ghost of Tsushima is essentially a love letter to old Japanese samurai movies
<-- This fan certainly does not.
I get the appeal of playing it that way, it would feel like the old school samurai movies.
Yeah, I sort of get it. Not for a first playthrough though. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful. They deserve to be seen.
@snookies Most definitely the first playthrough has to be that way.
It would have to be made in black and white to have a true effect. A filter isn't the same thing, just like a monochrome camera image vs post processing. Either way, I damn sure don't want to play the entire game that way.
And I thought that stupid desaturation filter applied in Driveclub was the worst idea. Are gamers really that dim nowadays that they are unware of the fact that their TVs have saturation slider, and when you move it to zero, you'll get exactly that - black & white image?
Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy have color filters. A Black and White filter could probably be applied.
Maybe the 2nd playthrough I would . I wouldn’t mind the option as I have watched a good amount of old samurai movies . But I really like the color from what was shown
If they add an option to play the game in black and white then I would try it but most games I play are all in colour.
Stuff not made in black and white that's just shifted to B&W via a filter just looks off.
Yeah I have HDR, F- that. The color on some of these games is so amazing. I would however, play it in B&W if it had an in game filter after I beat the color out of the main campaign.
Not me! I love those beautiful detailed colors & graphics. If they want to make it a mode by all means but I'll be playing in high resolution on a 4k hdr display in color.
Just lower the colour saturation of your TV and magic!! The game will be balck and white XD
