Rayman 3 HD & Deception IV

PS3 finally gets some good selection of free games again

Obelisk922128d ago

YES! I love Rayman 3 so much!!!

-Foxtrot2128d ago

New game needs to be a 3D platformer again I’m sick of the side scrollers

Null19802128d ago

Fox, I'd be happy with either.

I just hope they make a new one soon. A 3D one could possibly be one of the most gorgeous 3D platformers out there with their art style, if done right. On the other side, the 2D ones are already incredibly gorgeous and a blast to play. Hard as hell, but fun. Been a huge fan since the original on PS1 launch.

zugdar2128d ago

@Fox

I agree solid 3D platformers have been few and far between but I'd argue that the Rayman 2D Ubiart side-scrollers is some of the best examples of modern evolution for 2D platformers and can't wait for a #3 if they decide to make one.

UltraNova2128d ago

Since this is the last year the PS3 games are going to be free with Plus, hopefully they go out with some good ones like this every month.

FallenAngel19842128d ago

“Between now and September 25, PS Plus members who join PS Now–or extend their current paid subscription–will get 3 months of PS Now access for just $29.99 (normal price for 3 months–$44.99)”

If that were the standard price for PS Now instead of a temporary discount the service would be that much more attractive to more consumers.

jznrpg2128d ago

There are discounts all the time . I bought a bunch of years at 29.99 .

yomfweeee2128d ago

You got several years of PS Now for $30 each?

crazyCoconuts2128d ago

Cheapest I've seen is 1 year for $99

SarkyPlays2128d ago

What? I’ve never seen a year go that cheap

The_Devil_Hunter2128d ago

I think you're confusing PS Now for PS Plus.

badz1492128d ago (Edited 2128d ago )

it's pretty cheap in Asia. in Malaysia, we only pay USD30 for a year and if you buy it during the Chinese New Year, there is always the +3 month free promotion too. that's how I have been paying for my PS+ since the launch of PS4. I'm good until Sept 2019 from the promotion I bought last year LOL

EDIT:

ah...you guys are talking about PSNow. still no PSNow here in my area though. but if it's as cheap as we"re getting PS+, I might try it for the lulz

letsa_go2128d ago

That is still wayyyy too expensive. I wait until the 12 month goes on sale for $40-45.

Kingthrash3602128d ago

That's 2 Penny's less than games pass....its has 650+ games to game passes 150.....how's this wayyy to expensive?

letsa_go2128d ago (Edited 2128d ago )

I didn't realize it was talking about PS Now. I got it confused with a PSN discount. Whoops! I made a booboo

Majin-vegeta2128d ago

I was just about to buy absolved today this is good news

The Wood2128d ago

was going to buy it last month......Result!

joab7772128d ago (Edited 2128d ago )

Absolver looks really cool!

Sam Fisher2128d ago

Its fun but man the game is brutal, the combat is great except for a few cheesers out there, but all in all its tough

Goldby2128d ago

games are the same for EU

Matrix62128d ago

Apparently not. EU gets 'Extreme Exorcism' instead of 'Deception IV'

theshredded2128d ago

Yes Nex Machina! It replaces Heavy Rain for countries that don't offer it. Anyone who wanted to play Heavy Rain has probably played it right now and I've heard awesome things from the Zero games.

letsa_go2128d ago

Shit, I would rather have Nex Machina to be honest! That is on my wish list on steam.

Razmiran2128d ago

Dont start with Zero Time Dilemma, Its the final game in the trilogy

Segata2128d ago

Nex Machina is the best twin-stick shooter ever made. I bought the physical version from LRG. So worth it. The game is truly outstanding. One of my fave PS4 games last year.

Venoxn4g2128d ago

in my opinion not the best..but one of the best for sure :)

YoungKingDoran2128d ago

Please stop comparing video games to movies

"Many video games catch not only great commercial attention but remarkable critical attention as well. We have seen games like Heavy Rain, The Last of Us Part II, and even entries in the Metal Gear series described as fantastic interactive experiences, even heralded in the same way as Hollywood's greatest films.

I would suggest that not only is this an unfair comparison but also a harmful one. Video games, by their very nature, are an intricately different medium and should be weighed against one another rather than another form of media," Phillip writes for GF365.

Yes, please stop. They're better than most hollywood drivel nowadays.

BLAKHOODe1256d ago

I think Hollywood films will becoming increasingly more like video games in the future, especially as the world embraces the "new normal" from the pandemic. It makes sense, as games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales showcase just how realistically we're reaching in graphical capabilities, as well as showcase extreme action sequences in spectacular ways. And as time goes by, it'll get easier and cheaper to produce such "art", as well as create new star "actors" that never age, never die, never complain, never gets involved in scandals, etc. Technology is amazing and we're only just getting a taste of what it'll eventually be.

sourOG1256d ago

No. Some games are like movies.

medman1256d ago (Edited 1256d ago )

No. For the money spent, a quality game provides far more entertainment value than a quality movie. Especially when looking at what is going on in the world, and how a studio can attempt to pilfer from consumers by charging 30 dollars for Mulan via streaming. Ridiculous. There is no comparison....games all day.
