Xbox One X continues to not raise hardware sales in the long term despite all that hype leading up to it

Xbox 360 sales will further pull ahead when its slimline edition & Kinect later relase

Xbox 360 is a lot better than the Xbox one

Really enjoyed my 360... But I never felt the need to buy the Xbox One this gen, very satisfied with PS4 instead. I am sure some will prefer the XO but personnally I prefer single player games and Sony does it better. I miss my 360 controller though...

I'm surprised the Xbox one hasn't sold more than the Xbox 360 yet?🤔

Xbox One Total Sales: 37,230,546

Xbox 360 Total Sales: 40,130,885

It was selling more up until a little over a year ago. 360 did get a nice bump in sales thanks to RROD along with the benefit of no competition for a year. I'm sure there are a bunch more variables. But I guess this is why you never hear them say "outpacing the 360" anymore. we used to at least get that instead of actual sales figures but no more.

@Ninja_Ryu

Those numbers are wrong. According to N4G analysts, Xbox One sold 29 million worldwide! Vgchartz numbers are innacurated.

When you look at the chart you can clearly see Xbox One started outselling the Xbox 360 for the first three years. After a while the Xbox 360 overtook its successor and the gap continues growing

The X doesnt make a diference with the lack of exclusive system sellers. Specs don't sell consoles, exclusive system sellers games do. No matter how many times they say more powerfull machine, best 3rd party version, at this stage of the gen the impact is close to nothing.

kayoss96d ago

Its great all that to have great specs and is the most powerful console on the market. But all that mean JACK if you dont utilize its power. Its like having the most powerful PC on the planet and you're using it to play Sudoku or to use Microsoft Paint.

I loved my 360 and I love my Xbox One X. Microsoft got me addicted to gamerscore and that right their is more than enough to keep me loyal to their brand.

MajorLazer96d ago (Edited 96d ago )

Doesn't take much to keep you happy then

Edit: Doesn't take anything at all **

Why would anyone not want to play the best version of Multi-plat titles. The Best online network, the best controller, the best online community.

4U2NV96d ago

@xracer74x

Because they have better exclusive games to play.

I like how you left that off your list of reasons..

yeahright296d ago

You get a few more pixels on multiplats and all you have to give up are a constant flow of some of the best games this gen.
