When some fans don’t get what they want, they take to complaining. Ever since Nintendo’s showcase, fans have complained about Metroid Prime 4’s absence.
To be fair we knew a while back they would not do a traditionnal E3 presentation ... They started killing the hype months ago. Hopefully we can have a few cool "Nintendo Directs" in the coming months though.
Why Nintendo Didn’t Show It? "Many reasons present themselves if one stops to consider why Nintendo did not show anything. The first reason put simply includes that they have nothing yet to show. It wouldn’t be farfetched to assume that when they announced Prime 4 last year, it only existed as an idea." Pretty Predictable
They showed a logo. Not even a 30second cinematic teaser. So it's safe to assume they had nothing but a jpeg of a title.
I think they will at least show some screen shots or something of Prime 4 before the end of the year.
"How Nintendo Handles Backlash From Fans": They just ignore their fans and do their own thing, which is usually not what people want.
If they ignored their fans then they wouldn't be making Metroid Prime 4 in the first place.
They've been ignoring fans since gamecube.
@MVG And the other two have also ignored older fans with some of their moves. Yet the only one you're complaining about is Nintendo.
giving a damn ? :D
Maybe because it's #1 early in development and #2 possibly not a 2018 game? I'd be quite honestly shocked if Prime 4 released this year; having it to headline the beginning of next year would be a very smart business move, now that Smash is heading up this holiday. We might even get an extra Direct later on this year to get a first look before it releases early 2019.
I seriously doubt it's coming early 2019. I don't see it coming before September next year. I see Metroid coming September and Bayo 3 in October.
As predicted there are a lot of people here crying for some reason even though they know what to expect and wait patiently for on their own console over the next four or five years.
The author makes it seem as if fans have unreasonable expectations. Usually that's a solid bet, but not this year. Nintendo just had a bad E3 this year.
I was actually hoping to see Metroid at Nintendo's E3
Hoping and expecting are 2 very different things.
