Capcom should have had their own E3 press conference because they killed it this year

Straight up, Capcom had enough for its own Direct. Maybe it's not the best move pragmatically, as they strutted their stuff with two of the biggest conferences around -- Microsoft and Sony. But they definitely killed it at E3 this year and deserve the credit for doing so.

Im not to keen on the RE2 remake but it may grow on me as it gets closer. No new info on Deep down, a new lost planet 4 or SFVI but a new DMC5 is sure nice.

E3 sucked overall just because it's the end of the generation. That's why console life should be 4 years long not 7.

Seraphim37d ago

while we may be growing close to the end of a generation there's still 2+ years left before we see next gen at retail. Meaning tons of time for a lot of great games to be developed and released.

So I don't think E3 sucked because we're at the end of a generation. It just [may have] sucked because Sony showed everything that is coming w/in the next year or so, Nintendo didn't show much of anything other than Smash Bros alongside a few other games and MS, aside from some surprise acquisitions, really didn't show much either. But there were a lot of great games shown and to be excited about.

Resident Evil 2 remake looks great. They're using the engine from RE7, using over the shoulder view like in RE4... Not sure how to best describe this but... They also mentioned that instead of a true remake they're moving some things around. ie, the dogs jumping in the window and scaring the living crap out of the player, etc. So there should still be jumps in there for players who have played RE2.

No Deep Down was disappointing though. I'd really like to see what's going on there if it's still in development. New DMC was a nice surprise.

Deep down has to be dead. Or they couldn’t deliver that promise and they are making it next gen.

They realized a Souls clone wasn't the right thing to do and finally brought Monster Hunter back to consoles instead.

Why would they talk about a SF6 when they are still heavily supporting SF5?

There is always next year and hopefully next year a new Power Stone, Dino Crisis, Breath of Fire, Dragon's Dogma, Bionic Commando, Ghosts 'n Goblins and Mega Man will be shown.

Megaman 11 is coming out soon though, and it looks great. I do miss Dino Crisis and Onimusha though.

I would love to see a new 194x game! Maybe with upgrades and rpg elements

I personally hope they don’t.

Capcom don't make enough games to warrant their own show. They already outsource a lot of their development stuff as it is, their show would be as short as Square's one which also in all honesty just didn't even need to happen either.

Razmiran37d ago

Wasnt it just 3 games and a few collabs?
