Nintendo's President Reggie Fils-Aime said in an interview that there are many more announcements that it will announce in the months and weeks ahead.
Stating the obvious.
That's good, E3 was lacking a little. I'll get Mario Party but looking forward to seeing what else is coming.
What are you 8 years old
LOL I asked First
You sure sound like one yourself.
Boy learn some respect. I've been playing Mario Party since I was 8 years old when the first game came out on the N64 in early 1999. Guess what? I still enjoy the hell out of it. I guess than makes me a child at nearly 27 huh?
Mario Party is fun as shit, I'm 30 and happy to play it with sis and her boyfriend/my friends. Good times.
Same here! (As long as it's the traditional style without the stupid car mechanic :p)
Dragon Quest XI announcement
They said its coming next year
No. They never said when it coming/
Ah, my bad
I’ll be getting the PS4 version of DQXI for sure. That game looks awesome!
Same here I cant get into Switch Games I'm Not 8 Years Old When is Nintendo going to Grow Up
@xfile Sound like you are the one who should be growing up.
Yesss and hopefully some of them will release this year
Bayonetta 3 hype
Their E3 showing was a bit underwhelming but at least we have future Directs to look forward to.
That could mean anything. They could announce games for 2020 or 2021, or decide to make a 'big deal' on some upcoming indies they weren't going to before... but now they feel the need to hype something.
that could be Phil style by saying new games even dam year and he annouce only the Halo, Gears and Forza.
Only Sony and Microsoft do that.......every game announce for switch coming in the fall.......count how many games Sony said 2019 and how much Xbox said 2019 and count how many switch said 2019
Good coz E3 was meh lol
Should of done it during E3
Should ‘have’. ;)
Agreed. I dont get the strategy of having a lackluster showing at the largest consumer electronics event of the year, where gamers and virtually all major media outlets are paying attention, only to have game announcements through dedicated directs weeks later where only hardcore Nintendo fans pay attention. Their "IV Drip" approach to releasing information is infuriating.
After the way both the Nintendo and Sony conferences went, E3 to them means a lot less since they have more ways to spread announcements out, but they work. Gaming media is told when the other events will be, they get streamed on Twitch and their own websites, and you get sufficient advance notice so you know what to expect and when. I agree they should take E3 seriously again but it's not the end of the world anymore if they have a bad show.
@Sgt_Slaughter The difference with Sony is they get the lions share of 3rd party support to fill the gaps between their exclusive releases. Red Dead 2 ain't coming to Switch. Assassins Creed Odyssey ain't coming to Switch. Battlefield V ain't coming to Switch. Kingdom Hearts 3 aint coming to Switch. Hell Nintendo couldn't even get Madden on Switch. This is why IMO Nintendo has to try harder to have an impressive showing when all eyes are on them. Spending all your time focusing on one game is not a good look. They dont ALWAYS need to do the unconventional thing! Sometimes the obvious answer IS the right answer.
Uh maybe because Nintendo has a thing called Nintendo Direct and other events where they don't need E3. E3 been irrevelant ever since Nintendo started doing Direct and stopped doing Press Conference. Funny that people got on them for doing so but now every other company are following them.
Amazing! It's like you didnt even read my post. E3 is the largest consumer electronics event of the year. It's the one time when not only gamers and gaming media, but mainstream media outlets actually pay attention to gaming "nerd" culture. Its absolutely insane to pretend that it doesn't matter, or that nobody cares about it. That is horseshit rationalization for Nintendo having a poor showing. And yes I do realize Nintendo has Directs throughout the year. Thats all well and good, but the problem is the only people who pay attention to those are die hard Nintendo fans. Nintendo is essentially "preaching to the choir" with those. It seems stupid to hold back at E3 in favor of these stand alone Directs. Right now Nintendo needs to maintain momentum by showing everyone...EVERYONE, strong support for the Switch. E3 is all about generating hype and excitement and while a 25 minute deep dive into the minutia of Smas Bros might interest the die hard players, to the average person it was dull as hell. And make no mistake, this E3 WAS a stumble for them. It's ok to admit it. You can still be a Nintendo fan and criticize something they do. Nobody does everything perfect.
E3 isn't really relevant these days ever since they downsized the show many years ago,it got too expensive for everyone involved. Having said that, I think this year's E3 was pretty satisfying. Everyone has their own shows and conferences as a media outlet anyway.
Cool. The backlash is probably making them do it a little sooner. They always do Nintendo directs throughout the year so for them to say this, its likely to calm people down. I cant blame fans for being a bit frustrated they spent so much time on smash bros. Fire Emblem had a little bit of time but those two games were all i cared about.
An Animal Crossing Switch logo alone would be infinitely more exciting than the 10 hours of shitty Smash and Pokemon shown at E3. Maybe it wasn’t 10 hours, but it bloody felt like it. They should have at least dedicated half of that time to showing more Fire Emblem Three Houses and Octopath Traveller (the only 2 upcoming Switch games that interest me).
So, in other words, games will be coming out on switch eventually. SMH Nintendo.
I think Sony and Nintendo announce all year round. Microsoft only announce at E3
Pretty much, they have their own shows and outlets, E3 isn't as as big as it used to be for them. Microsoft doesn't announce much of anything game-wise during the year.
There will be 0 Xbox announcement remainder of year.
Here's me thinking that Nintendo weren't making games anymore
Really? So you spend time and money to showcase your products to come back and say we will show more later... slow 2019 for switch. Hopefully 3rd party keeps supporting
You couldn't just make one of those announcements or you know talk about more of the already announced games?
is there any Nintendo event coming up soon? Looking forward to the announcements
We usually don't know about their events until a week or so before
Yes it called a Nintendo Direct it happens every Season every year.
I’m being to appreciate more and more the developers/publishers that only announce games that are closer to actually being done than games that either just concepts, delayed over and over, or just announced just to gain “hype.”
It's still only early years for the Switch and its had some great games so far. Hopefully they build up more momentum over the years.
I mean was there any question we will get another Nintendo direct? C'mon people :P
