Sony and Sucker Punch showcased some new footage of Ghost of Tsushima showing some absolutely spectacular vistas of the world of the game.
This game look terribly... beautiful
Absolutely, I really hope there is a photo mode.
I think most recent major Sony releases did... Even if not directly at release.
Ghost of Tshushima and The Last of Us II were easily the best things at E3. Tshushima had maybe the most stunning art direction and color gamut i have ever seen. The combat was incredible. It wasn't typical hack n slash where you spam the buttons. It's a fast combat system based on precision and skill. It utilizes high and low blocking and it punishes wasted movements. It's ultra realistic and highly innovative when comparing most action games. It's designed to make you feel like a real, bad ass samurai.
Hey you stole my line! ;-)
It looks disgustingly beautiful!
the combat is the main attraction for me. like Bushido blade on the ps1 with more realistic sword play.
I love the combat, you have to plan your attacks like in a real combat.
A week or so ago someone said I hope the combat is like Batman. I laughed and said I hope it's nothing like that, it should be like Bushido Blade. Glad I was right.
It did have the fear takedown from Batman, but apart from that ye it's nothing like that.
From what I saw, it was giving off a Way of the Samurai vibe. Although I'm a bit worried they'll offer branching combat methods. I.E a combat path and stealth path. I was hoping this game would go stealth and commit to being stealth. What was shown at E3 was looking to be from the beginning of the game before the ninja transition, so I can still hope. Given the trend of open world games requiring "play how you want" to draw the most users, I'm not holding my breath.
Finally, I get to play a game that reminds me of the movie Shogun Assassin. I'm still wondering how Sucker punch manages to get the lighting system to illuminate on this level. Got has one of the best bokeh camera effects I ever saw in a game.
I love that movie. Lone Wolf and Cub series is very beautifully shot. Shoguns Assassin is the first 4 lone wolf movies chopped up for action with a different 80s sound track. Both have a special place in my heart. The brutality of Shoguns Assassin, and the Beauty of Lone Wolf and Cub. Seems that Sucker Punch captures the best of both for this game. Cant wait to see more.
Sucker Punch has arguably the best fx team in the business.
I would swear this was a next gen game. That's how good it looks to me!
Give it to me now!
I've been taking screens and making gifs of the gameplay trailer. This game is unbelievable. The color palate is amazing. The mud on his pants, the blood on the floor, the leaves in the air and moving as they sweep them up with their feet. I think we have a new open world graphics king. The detail is just incredible.
Private Pyle you had better show us those GIFs asap!
Everything about this game game blew me away. The combat, the graphics, and the animation. Seriously just wow. I’m very excited for this game.
This game is breath taking in gameplay and looks so all I can say is thank you SPP.... thank you.
Game of the show!!! but considering it was not playable; then Spiderman is the game of the show!!! XD
This game looks phenomenal with people saying Microsoft won e3 they need to think again showing games that are coming to PS4 isn't going to help any company. Spider-man, Days Gone, The Last of Us 2, are going to be huge hits I can't wait this is the reason I got a PS4PRO the games I did buy Killer Instinct Definitive Edition the other day but other than that I'm sticking with PS4PRO.
Someone on a panel discussion suggested that an option should exist to play the game in Black & White (and red for blood). I think this would be a brilliant addition
I heard the same. I think it was Max Scoville. I wasn't interested in the black and white bit, but maybe with just red? I could certainly try that out for a bit.
Ghost of Tshushima was stunningly beautiful and the combat was phenomenal.
when did Rob Zombie start making videogames?
