After the footage that finally unveiled Ghost of Tsushima to the world, Sony Interactive Entertainment released more screenshots.
The game looks insanely good.
This game blew me away. Holy crap it looked beautiful.
Best game of the show! :D
As incredible as TLOU2 and Spider-Man both looked I have to say Ghosts was the stand out of the entire E3, the game is just on a whole new level, Sucker Punch has really stepped their game up and has joined the ranks of top tier developers for Sony with this one for sure.
Yeah, Ghost of Tsushima’s reception reminds me of when HZD gameplay was first shown off along with the crazy Jeep set-piece from Uncharted 4. Those 2 games were the talk of the show. While I was personally most impressed by The Last of Us Part 2 demo, gosh it was something else. Ghost definitely blew my mind with its seamless transition to gameplay & seeing the main character walk up the hill, only to see a truly beautiful & stunning view out into the distance. The grass left me in awe lol. The combat looked like so much fun. Just brutal.
At most any other E3 Ghost of Tsushima would have been the standout title for me by a mile, but this E3 also debuted games like Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us Part 2 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and all of those look like very special games as well. It's a testament to what an incredible time for games we're living in.
I’m excited for Cyberpunk 2077, after playing the amazing Witcher 3. But I would’ve liked to have seen some gameplay over a CGI trailer.
That cyberpunk trailer was in engine, not cgi...
@ClayRules2012 I would have loved to see gameplay too, but even the trailer they showed, along with my love of the Witcher series, was enough to get me hyped like crazy. It was all in-engine as well. It's much like how I was hyped after seeing the first in-engine Ghost of Tsushima trailer.
What I noticed about Sony games, they like to turn ruins/old structures into art. Or maybe it's just me. Also, the fight with all the leaves and then the fire was...beautiful.
My game of the show thus far.
The worst running in the fiel got me right there
So damn cool. I think theres too many samurai games coming out but this one is a must play
There is no such thing as too many samurai games. ;) Seriously though, I think Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Nioh 2 all offer something unique. Nioh 2 is heavily focused on melee combat. Sekiro is a dark, mystical, foreboding ninja game with From Software's signature game design and challenging gameplay. And Ghost of Tsushima will offer the most straight forward cinematic storytelling, stylized combat and highest production values. I mean, obviously there will be more differences than those, but the point is that they all have their distinct approaches and will likely offer very different kinds of experiences.
3 samurai games is too many?
Too many as in theyre inevitably going to be compared. Combat from souls heavily inspired Nioh. Im def getting them all but will need to play other completely different games in between them all so it doesnt feel monotonous. My backlog is massive already. Hopefully the release dates are spaced well from eachother
It's Tenchu enough for me. Day 1.
Ok if you like samouraïs. Definitely not for me
This is not a game, this is pure work of art. Brilliant work SP it's going to be another PS4 exclusive masterpiece for sure.
The jump from Infamous Second son to this is just....incredible. Mastering the hardware, this always happens towards the end of the console generation.
The game looks incredible. I just wish the walking/running animations looked a little better. Something looks off about it compared to the quality of the rest of the demonstration.
