Capcom has revealed the first official details about Resident Evil 2 Remake. According to the company, Resident Evil 2 has been completely re-built from the ground up for a deeper narrative experience.
"new over-the-shoulder camera" https://thumbs.gfycat.com/B... Sold :D
Sigh. I was hoping it was more like the REmake than over the shoulder. Shame.
I felt the same way too but honestly it didn't look bad. As long as the main focus is survival and not the crazy action like RE4 I'll be happy.
I prefer the new over the shoulder. I tried playing Resident Evil 1 remaster.. and that camera angle play didn't age well for me. So I'm super glad this is a complete overhaul and has been modernized.. AND YES!! Leon & Claire have separate campaign just like the original. If they didn't do that, I would have been sad.
Dreams do come true <3 <3 <3 !!! :D
So if Bluepoint is making this... what are they making?
Huh? It's being made by Capcom?
*isn't - I think meant to say.
Probably making a game. A game that will be shown sometime soon enough because that's what they do.
Saw a lot of new stuff that didn't remind me of the original, either way it looks interesting & I'm definitely buying.
over the shoulder camera oughta make this one like RE4 meets RE2. It would be neat if they allowed for first-person VR too
Yeah I wish it got a vr mode I think we will be disapointed there though
If they could do the last RE in VR then why not this one too right? Either way, fantastic that this game is being remade for a new generation. It is one of my all time favs and a defining game of my childhood. I hope we all enjoy this remake!
It's much easier to make an already first-person perspective into VR than to make an entirely new camera angle just for VR.
Torch and pistol combo.. Resi 4 beta vibes, ugh.. so damn good.
Rumor say it have fix camera mode too but How Its Gonna Work ? Game look quite dark and enemy look a bit faster than original unless they add more light and make enemy slower.
I guess they'll use first person when there's indoor gameplay and then transition back to 3rd person view when needed.
The good thing about having a 3D game with polygons is that you can do whatever you want with it, y'know, like have fixed camera angles. The same cannot be said if it were the opposite of course, you can't magically transform the REmake's 2D assets in 3D, lol.
Hell yes.. I almost had a seizure from the excitement this brought me! :D
Fingers crossed for an option to play New Game + with the legacy fixed camera angles, but I'm not holding my breath. But this needs to be done. And also an FPS view with the New Game ++ The dudes from Capcom need to come in here and read this.
