AceGamez: NHL 2K9 Review

AceGamez writes: "2K Sports has always been good at portraying the actual sport of ice hockey with their realistic approach to the genre, whereas EA's attempts with the NHL series have always been a more 'arcadey' affair. However, with both developers looking for a change this year, it seems that the tables have turned. This year, 2K's new slogan is "The fun is back". Apparently they have been listening to their fans and have brought some of the fun back into ice hockey - but I'm not so sure. You see, it's all well and good to try and make a game more realistic, but if you have an already solid title then do you really want to try and tone it down and take some of that realism out? To me it just doesn't make sense and it could be 2K's downfall." (NHL 2K9, PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360) 7/10
