Ok now I'm too excited, this looks like it could be awesome... E3 I Can't wait... :) THIS IS Sparta.....!
So I guess Ubisoft is just going to add generic subtitles to every game in the series now?
I'm expecting some GOW Easter eggs
It looks pretty cool but damn I barely started Origins :/ are we back to yearly releases already?!
@BiggerBoss Still hoping for Assassin's Creed Armageddon
I guess this can work as a Ryse sequel of sorts.
Subtitles are better than just using "Assassins Creed 13" or whatever it would be up to by now.
Mannn I would love them to implement some of the fighting mechanics from God of War, that would be awesome!
I thought GOW loosely covers Norse Mythology. Since this is Greece (Logical Step across the mediteranian and in keeping with the timeline) why on earth would it cover Norse Mythology instead of Zeus, Poseidon, Hades etc? On topic: I have a good feeling about this game. I [email protected] love assassins creed.
@pinkcrocodile how does that have anything to do with the fighting mechanics of the game? LOL
This.. is.. the creeed !!!! But honestly this better be good, don't blow this one up ubisoft i swear to god !!!
Shameless Super Mario Odyssey rip off smh
No. It's referring to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume he's being sarcastic.
Yeah I wasn't being serious lol
"Didn't you know cpayne this isn't a place to make jokes you filthy peasant!" -26 angry nerds
Hilarious imo. Good show.
Origins was fantastic, so this should be great too.
Hell yeah, Origins was awesome, hopefully this is as good.
Can’t wait to play that on X... origins was crazy with so much details in the graphic.
I think it’s a great time period. The birth of democracy and all of that. Origins was much better than the last few games but I didn’t find it that interesting story wise. Hopefully we can get more fantastical elements in Odyssey. Like trying to explain some of the mythology and why people might interpret it that way. Origins didn’t dive deeply into the mythology and that would have made it a lot more interesting. I’m about halfway through right now and I moved on to different games. Does the Origins story get crazier after the halfway mark?
No but the curse of Osiris expansion is a bit fantastical.
Thanks maybe I will give it a go.
I bet its just a reskin of origins
I liked Origins, but I agree. They aren't doing China or Japan etc, because it needs new assets and gameplay mechanics. The greek setting, is pretty much the same as Alexandria in Origins. So, just copy and paste etc.
Man they really milk that cow lol
Well that's nothing new. I guess they might be back to annualisation. I only ever played the first AC. I loved the game for the first couple of hours but by the time I've finished it I hated it because it was pretty much a repetition of the first couple of hours over and over without adding enough new and interesting things. I was willing to give AC2 a chance because many people told me that it was a much better game than AC1 but by the time I was considering getting it, Ubisoft already released 2 more games and AC3 already leaked. For me the milking of the franchise is pretty much what turned me off from the franchise. I fell too far behind and the amount of games in existence is just too overwhelming to consider diving back in for me.
Yeah I could never get into these games. The first one was soooooooo boring.
Featuring Mario ;)
Didn't like Origins. Hope this is better
How you COD/Madden/Assassins Creed players can get so excited about the same old annualized McGames year after year is beyond me. Have you no gaming scruples? You're part of the problem
Cause they're good games. Just because you dont like the doesn't mean everyone else has to also. I mean what are you a Democrat?
I'm saying gamers should expand their palette a little when it comes to gaming tastes, rather than just playing the same old stuff year after year.
Not played an AC game since 2012. Only reason I'm interested in this is the setting. This would be my 4th AC game. I have only played AC1,II and IV so far.
They have attention spans of goldfishes. Also these games are all about instant gratification.... You do something, you get something.... There are no long term rewards or implications apart from more gratification in terms of stats or upgrades. And it's a very addictive cycle the normie/casual audience. Why do you think these companies put microtransactions on XP boosts and upgraded weapons? Because they know the normie/casual crowd loves to see numbers go up.
I'm thinking you're just two young and opinionated to realize that most games of any specific genre are for the most part are alike, and therefore most original games of each individual genre are typically nothing more than a mix and match of other games with slight twists and turns thrown in and a different storyline. Kinda like movies. There is actually very little originality in most form of video entertainment be it game or movie. When there is the occasional/rare completely original formats it is often quickly copied, and therefore originality is replaced by resemblance. However games like assassin's creed do take the occasional break for the sake of being a little more original. C.o.d takes this approach similarly by having 3 studios alternating every 3 years. O mean come on it's a war game. What is the difference between a war game of the same pedigree coming out yearly and a war game of a different pedigree or name being released with basically the same gameplay but with a different tittle yearly? The answer is nothing. The only thing it would do is shut up complainers. So I ask you when was the last time you've played a very unique game and then tell me if there are more like it or sequels to it now. A lot of games rely on name brand and recognition. Granted madden could just be every other year and handled yearly by roster updates, like any other sports game
I'm happy with this. Can't wait to see some gameplay. Origins was cool. This should be great too.
I'll play it for sure.
So it’s AC in New Donk City? ;)
New Donk Creed. Nothing is true, everything is bananas.
Milk it dry Ubisoft
I'm more hyped for the new For Honor heroes announcement.
This looks Dope. Never expected UBI to show AC game at E3 this year. I am guessing it won't release this year because Oct is packed. I could be wrong and it gets a Nov release. Whatever it is, Ancient Greece, Sparta Kick... I am sold..
Bow and arrow iam in
Be cool if it was during the 300 campaign against Persia
Assassin’s Creed and Mario crossover? 😂 Next thing we’ll have Super Mario Origin.
Pathetic, people can't be excited for game anyone who isn't saying "lul Ubisoft sux lul durrr" isn't get a ton of downvotes, some people on this site man.
Isn't that the philosophy behind agree/disagree though? Its a cross platform game, so no hardware fan boy bias - and some people have had their full dose of AC. It's not harming people who are excited. But it is saying that a cross section of people aren't. It happens at hardware/software/MT/DLC and, like this, series level. Sure you'll probably down vote me for saying so... 🙃
Not when it's just getting abused by the Ubisoft hate circlejerk they're giving no opinion just furiously hating anyone who is just a tad bit excited for the new game.
Hating or just disagreeing..? No idea who you are...and you may be totally hyped for the game. Don't hate you for it. I'm not enamoured with the idea of another AC at this time. Nothing against Ubisoft other than hoping ACOd's got enough new elements to make it stand out at release. Maybe you hate me for that. No answer if you do. Horses for courses. Personal opinion.
I would disagree on agree/disagree complain. People have a right to hit disagree or agree. I think many give those too much importance. They don't really matter. Please hit disagree button on my comment I really don't care. Just saying. On the other hand, I agree about the hate we see here about this game. Its unreal. I don't get it at all. IMHO the setting is amazing. There's incredible potential here. I'm don't even like Ass Creed usually.
The last one is still in my backlog.
The story is pretty ok and some of the side quests are ok too but the going everywhere around the entire map to find junk gets old fast. It's your typicalk ubi game in that regard.
Ughh that sucks. I like how they did farcry 5. I've beat the 1st area. Seems like a good mixture of quest types
I get what you're saying but for some reason I still enjoyed clearing all the map locations.
Here we go again...back to yearly release again 😂😂😂 👍🏻👍 27995;😂😂㈳ 4;
Already?? Yearly was killing the franchise and back to it again? Bleh
Seems to be a lot of Origin or AssCreed haters in the comments. Anything positive is getting down voted.
I liked Origin, but Greek is pretty much the same in terms of settings and architecture. And that is why people are downvoting imo. They aren't doing China or Japan because it needs new assets and gameplay etc. Something Ubisoft doesn't want to do right now, because hey when you have half of the assets why not? Easy job that way.. But a lot of people have been asking for a oriental location for a long time now. I am one of them.
I miss the old AC style
Damn personally I hate everything to do with ancient Greek history so this is a bummer for me, but it looks like there might be a focus on Sparta which could be interesting so we will see next week I guess.
an AC ambiented in greece announced in the same year god of war came out they are evil geniuses ahahah btw after AC 3 i'm not interested in the series anymore so...
First AC since IV I have been interested in. I love an ancient Greek setting. I hope to wear Spartan armor and boy do I hope it takes place in a massive open world like Athens and surrounding areas. Exploring the Parthenon and more. Since I am such a nut for Greek history I do hope the buildings are not white but painted bright colors like they actually were back then. Cautiously optimistic since I have wanted a fairly historically accurate ancient Greece game for so many years to explore.
Another generic open world game added to Ubisoft's blob of mediocre open world titles after Origins and FarCry 5.
Origins is one of the best games released this gen!! Super excited about this!
Hope its good as is Origins... and more! By the way , why everyone thinks this is 2018 release?? they didnt gave any info for that , but it'll be only natural because now they can depend on Origin's mechanics and engine . Same think like far cry .. Anyway im really happy to see the game to be placed in my country.
