Mads Mikkelsen on Death Stranding: “It’s wonderful, and I can tell from the little things I’ve seen – some things, it’s not done yet – but I’ve never seen anything like this. And [Kojima] is not happy with it yet! It’s going to be ballistic.”
mads : "He [Kojima] tries to explain it again and again and again, and I thought I had it, but then this happens and I’ve lost it again. It’s too complicated. It’s too crazy. It’s too beautiful". haha. you are welcome to kojima's world.
LOL. Thats pretty much it right there.
Damn it :( that's the exact reason why I disliked the MGS games it felt so disjointed! I am sure loads of people dig that but I was really hoping this story would make more sense!
Not even his employees understand Kojima works. Kojima is a mad man. Holy moly !
Actually true :P http://www.metalgearinforme...
It's the Patriots!!!!!
Oh boy.....the hype is real. 2019 needs to hurry up.
At least next month we'll get something.
In Kojima we trust
Today it's ballistic, but then when the reviews come out... 7.5. I'm looking forward to playing the game. I'm happy for Kojima, especially how Konami treated him.
Yeah, it's not like Kojima games don't almost always score high...oh wait.
Hahaha Yea, whatever.
What was the last Kojima game that scored a 7.5?
Thomaticus - Man alive, your comment is all over the place haha. It will score well no doubt, and will be uniquely weird and brilliant.
I am sure it will totally score high (Thomaticus is high on some weird crap) but yet I was really hoping he would go for less weird this time around... anyways still happy it'll be a fresh story instead of a continuation of the convoluted MGS storyline.
Only a clown would predict a review score of an unreleased, no release date and no gameplay footage. The game will sell millions since Sony allow it's teams creative freedom. Unlike other platforms
Can't wait to eat some babies!
So good 😂
.... it's not fair how funny this is.
Godd I can't wait to see this
yea but... has Mads Mikkelsen played a game before?
Who knows. It's unlikely, still love him though he's a fantastic actor.
Probably not, but his list of acting credits are varied - not too many generic characters amongst it either. And have a look how Kojima handled a military game (MGS), his characters and writing are next level.
His writing is interesting. I love Kojima, but he's definitely had his share of "wut" moments with the Metal Gear franchise, though I don't blame him since he's wanted to be done since forever ago with the series. Snake Eater for me is his best work and it's a bloody brilliant game (and my favorite PS2 title). To say his writing overall is next level though? That kind of implies he's never had a bad moment, and this is coming from a guy whose favorite franchise for most of his life was Metal Gear. With a fresh start and a new franchise, I think he's gonna crush it. If we get several entries into Death Stranding though, it might begin to develop some holes in the narrative.
I agree SnakeEater - 'next level' - was referring to the fact he doesn't follow the crowd. His ideas and themes, cant be predicted - I'm always blown away by the content and characters in his games.
Right on, man. Totally agree with that. I love how unique his mind is.
Can't wait. Need to see some gameplay
Next month probably.
Kojima: I want to see tanks doing back flips and fish climbing trees!
More hype... Show some game play or even a teaser trailer
Never heard strand in present participle form until this game. It's a cool name.
From 2018 onwards Sony have Ghost of T, Death Stranding, TLOU2, Spider-Man and God of War... it's just not fair for the competition.
can't wait for E3
I doubt it.
Shame, then get ready to cry when this masterpiece hits the PS4 exclusively (another one) to wide acclaim. Hopefully it will tear you to pieces.
These sort of comments do make me wonder how familiar Mads is with gaming in general, I could well be wrong but he really doesn't strike me as someone into his gaming. Probably most modern games would blow his mind.
Kojima-san has always been like this. He was hamstrung at Konami in his last few years which really did affect MGS V and despite that he turned in a game that was still up there in terms of quality, vision, gameplay and fun. Kojima-san is his own boss now and I fully expect him to deliver a game that will be exhilarating and yet something new setting a new benchmark. If Kojima-san could make MGS V under duress at Konami, imagine what he will do with the willing support of Sony and Guerilla Games.
I want to read this as there will be unpredictable gameplay and a fresh look at player interaction, but I'm afraid what I'm reading is, "good luck trying to understand Wtf is going on"
Kojima is a mad genius creatively who knows what he has created looking forward to seeing what he does after so many years of only doing MGS. If PT is any indication of what we might see in terms of creativity then we are in for a wild ride.
