Media Create Sales: 5/14/18 – 5/20/18

The Caligula Effect: Overdose for PlayStation 4 sold 20,399 retail copies during its first week of release in Japan, the latest Media Create sales figures reveal.

No other new release made the top 20 sales.

On the hardware side, Switch sold 33,125 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 16,940 units, and the 3DS family sold 6,255 units.

8/10 games are for Switch! Nintendo continue doing good numbers in Japan, even if..... more of the Switch games are old, like Mario and Zelda.

They could be old, but at the same time if you're just getting a Switch what games would you buy? I know for sure that if I'd buy a Switch I would get Xenoblade, Zelda & Mario.

It also helps that Nintendo hasn't released anything of importance so far this year

So far this year they had DK TF, Bayonetta 2, Kirby, and Hyrule Warrior. While that might be a slim release, we still do have Mario Tennis Ace and Octopath Traveller coming soon though.
