Screen Rant: "Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is officially getting its own Battle Royale mode. Titled Blackout, the mode won't deviate from the genre norms. A massive amount of players will still battle to the death on a map that's 1,500 times bigger than Nuketown - and it'll be a survival game at its core. There are a few interesting nuances, such as including air vehicles, but for the most part, they seem to be sticking to a tried and true formula. This makes a lot of sense as the Battle Royale genre is relatively new, especially on a popular scale.
There is one big area that separates Blackout from games like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, though. That comes in the form of nostalgia, as Treyarch announced that they will be using the new mode as a celebration of Black Ops' history. Everything from past characters to iconic weapons will be fair game to appear, and they're even willing to use objects from the Zombies mode from past games. That means things can get pretty crazy if Treyarch really wants to go for it."
