Wow, you fanboys really cannot understand for the life of ya's that devs have priorities and the reason some games run better on Pro when its assumed that it should be better on X. Hate to break to all of you but its a fact. Its the same reason why some games are 1080p on Pro while native 4K on X, the devs just found it easier to achieve that within the time and money constrains they have.

Perhaps they had trouble with the Xbox One X hardware or they just didn't bother enhancing it for the X? Maybe they are a small company and could only specially optimize for one system. The fact that PlayStation is far more popular might be the reason they chose to prioritize the Pro.

True, it really doesn't make sense why it's doing so poorly on an XoneX when it's similar but beefier hardware than a PRO. Although surely they could squeeze a bit more than full HD out of a PRO and an XoneX.

they told me they didn’t have OneX dev kits to test it which is why it’s not OneX enhanced. But they did say they were hoping to optimize and update later

And yet you provide no counter to my assessment, only a critique of my comment without anything substantial. Tell me, why wouldn't it run at a higher resolution? Due
to development difficulties? Doubt it; development is simplified on both platforms to be more compatible with PC. Or maybe it's cost? Also doubtful since developers are already creating games at higher resolutions and scaling down to fit into the hardware parameters of consoles.

I'd love to hear your reasoning why I may be wrong. I'm hoping to learn something today.

Or maybe they don't have enough money to continue. Or maybe they made few mistakes along the way and now it's not profitable to re-write the code. Or maybe a lead programmer lost his hand. You don't know. You can only assume. Laziness shouldn't be your first thought because they've created this game. Would a lazy person do that?

It seems your first assumption is that laziness is my first assumption. Resources were my first assumption, but if you looked at the article I provided, you'd realize that my position is valid. Again, the argument of resources makes no sense. Games on consoles are being developed to higher specs and scaled down. It is literally more work to do that than to develop for hardware in a more 1:1 manner.

I don't really know what to add at this point.

It obviously must be running Xbox One code and needs an X patch. You know this because base models are bothering 720p. Nothing to see here.

Those quotes suggest that the developer may not have supported enhancements for either the Pro or the 1X, and that the Pro is possibly running in boost mode.

I’d agree but “Boost Mode” is built into the OS and hardware for the Xbox One X as well. While Sony released a patch and labeled the feature the Xbox One X hardware has done that without a label or need to enable/disable it.

To either extent it makes me wonder why the developer mentioned One X/Pro support when there clearly isn’t any. It even states the framerate is unchanged when numerous other titles have shown that framerate really can increase solely based on the machine.

I’d bank on the idea that this is nothing more than a poor PC port.

“It was impossible for us to have an xbox one x at the studio in time. Regarding to performances results on PS4 and Xbox one (normal version) we didn't want to take risks and we wanted to prioritize the framerate. For PS4 pro we had no choice but to select 1080p at least.”

@Kribwalker: Only problem there is that framerate is 30-60 on all consoles. That’s a rather large gap that the framerate may run at. If they were prioritizing framerate I’d have to imagine it would be locked or at least have a more definitive number.
