why this baseball game had so much appeal on japanese gamers ?/ has the second best sales of a game after MH World in Japan for PS4 ....was it from these japan only PS1 games back then??

It's a traditional series that Japanese gamers have loved for a very, very long time. It started before the PS1, in the Super NES era. It actually did not land on PlayStation until the 7th game on PS2. Before it was on Nintendo consoles (SNES and N64).

that baseball game got pretty damn famous very quick, suddenly in my PS4 appeared lots of live streams playing that game.

They sure seem to love baseball in Japan. Been Popping up in mini-games too.

Yakuza 5 had me playing as an ex ball player complete with a baseball corruption storyline. Hit a buncha homers in Persona 5. Now Yakuza 6 has a whole season where I’m managing my own team and stepping up to the plate as a pinch hitter, lol. I wonder if they even sell MLB the Show out there?
