PowerUp! - "I’ve been a gamer for over 30 years and in that time, my perspective has changed. Gaming as a little child is vastly different to gaming as a father of little children."
EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.
EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.
Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.
This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.
SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space
Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

Great article, I'm in that same boat, started with the NES and I haven't stopped. My problems are yours, time, and money. Only my wife expected me to grow out of it, I told her I'll stop with a lot of my "bad habits" as she puts it, but I can't give up gaming...
I can relate to a lot of these points. I've 45 and been gaming since the Atari 2600. I, too, am married and have 3 kids. The biggest factor is time and energy. I usually game either Friday or Saturday night for 2-3 hours - after everyone has gone to bed. Sometimes I'll skip a week for whatever reason. That's it. I could get an hour in during a week night, but I'm too tired, and I get up early to work out.
I almost never buy games at release - not that I don't have the money, but my backlog is so long, I just wait. I like long games - Skyrim, Fallout and I'll play a bit of multiplayer. I've been working my way through Bloodborne for the last 5 months or so - I'm now in the Hunter's Nightmare. I have a PS4(launch version) and a XBONE (Forza edition). I'm going to wait for the PS5 and whatever the next XBOX is to upgrade.
The good thing is my wife is supportive and understands sometimes I need to blow off steam by "killing nazi zombies or aliens". I don't think I'll ever "grow out of it". My desire for adventure and having a quest will never go away, and as long as there are intriguing games - I'll be playing!
