kratos needs to be more like himself as he discovers himself, not anyone else. Nathan and kratos are world wide icons in big part due to their differences.

bouzebbal87d ago

i think it is the other way around.
Nathan should learn from the big boy Kratos and change the recipe.
Uncharted is a great series, needs change more than ever and the U4 DLC really showed this need.
Exact same movements as Nathan no matter if it's Chloe or the other girl (forgot her name). They climb same way at the same speed it just felt like a skin for Nathan.

TimelessDbz88d ago

idk about world wide icons....

b163o187d ago

They are, sales speak for themselves....

TimelessDbz87d ago

World wide icon is like Mario. Kratos and Nathan are not WORLD WIDE icons.

DJK1NG_Gaming88d ago (Edited 88d ago )

"Nathan and kratos are world wide icons"
Western Icons. God of War and Uncharted isn't big in Japan nor are those two characters are icons in Japan.

So saying Western Icon is more fitting. If you disagree this then you don't understand what popular, or a icon is in Japan.

b163o187d ago

Well, what about Europe?

DJK1NG_Gaming87d ago

@b163o1
When I say Western I am also talking about Europe.

Hotabang87d ago

well, what about the middle east?

Jmanzare87d ago

If you were to go outside and ask a random person who Kratos or Nathan Drake were they probably would have no idea. Ask a random person who super mario is and 100% of the time they would know

Show people a picture of nathan drake and see how many can guess who it is.

Inzo87d ago (Edited 87d ago )

I reckon almost all gamers.

Nintentional87d ago (Edited 87d ago )

Yeah I don’t know about world wide icons... like, they’re known in the gaming community, but show a picture of either Nathan Drake or Kratos to random non-gamers and they’ll have no idea who they are.

IMO Nathan Drake is below Kratos, if anything they are equal.. I cant personally pick a favorite from the 2.

Another thing i wanna add is... Are Kratos and Nathan Drake in the same bloodline? GOW makes me feel so much like the universes are in the same space, and maybe even TLOU. GOW the past, Uncharted the present, TLOU the future......Horizon the far future?

Shadowsteal87d ago

Are you high? Because that's some Trump level reaching.

Sam Fisher87d ago

He saying you probably fell on your head a couple of times

nowitzki200487d ago

Just a thought.. People take stuff too seriously lol.

ClayRules201287d ago (Edited 87d ago )

Ummm...say what?

That's like saying....WAIT. You might be onto something. Albus Dumbledore, Darth Vader, and Alice (from the ResidentEvil films are all from the same bloodline.

Now how can I work in those blue people from James Cameron's movie "Avatar"? The Na'vi? They're all from the same bloodline as Albus Darth, and Alice. I just know it.

Joking aside, no hate towards you, bud. But how did you come up with the idea of Kratos & Drake being of the same bloodline & the whole universes God of War, Uncharted, TLoU & HZD being in the same space? Lol.

nowitzki200487d ago (Edited 87d ago )

Play GOW and tell me Atreus doesnt seem a bit like Drake.. Tell me the games arent becoming too similar. It was just a thought, but PS4 fanboys do get a bit too defensive during these times.

P_Bomb87d ago

I’d say he’s closer to Damian Wayne than Drake. Drake was never the “sir yes sir” type

BeardedDrachen88d ago

I have no idea where the ending of this trilogy with Kratos will lead us....but my guess is Kratos will be saving the realm from Ragnorok... He'll be more of the hero than the anti-hero.

UCForce88d ago (Edited 88d ago )

No, he is not hero. And he will never be. But he will stick anti hero. Even Cory Barlog said that Kratos will never be hero, but he will find small fraction of his humanity.

BeardedDrachen88d ago

That's interesting... but I'm sure Kratos doesn't want to be...

ecchiless88d ago

actually kratos dying gonna be what starts the ragnarok, his son gonna kill all the norse gods

AnubisG87d ago (Edited 87d ago )

More like he will bring about Ragnarök. As one world dies, another is born.

Fullmetalevolust88d ago (Edited 88d ago )

Nothing, he's good, we're good.
And one must wonder, is it a worthy comparison? Yes, they are both juggernauts for Sony but that's where it ends.

I don't want to play god of war like I want to play Uncharted , otherwise it'd be the same damn game with different skin.
I'm all for studios comparing notes on how to push the hardware and refine performance and that's where the collaboration should flourish. It is healthy competition between these 1st party studios who do nothing but congratulate one another when their games are released and find financial success.

We are blessed to have diversity in game genres in this gen, let's keep it that way.

Kratos are already is a well developed character. The character started off as a murderous anti-hero,then villain, and now seems to be a changed man in GoW 4. I personally like Kratos more than Nathan Drake. Kratos already is a fleshed out character.
