Wow i remember someone arguing that even though Fortnite is bigger PUBG made more money due to Fortnite's f2p model. Guess not..

To think that all that is for cosmetic items lmao the game has a hold on people.....i think I wasted close to 150$ last month hahaha

$250+ between myself, my kid having an account and a nephew's account. Probably closer to $350. But between the 3 of us, we've probably played for over 1000 hours. So, well worth it.

The prices for outfits and such are ridiculous. They’ve made 10x the development cost already I’m sure. This is pure greed. I don’t care how many hours you’ve played it.

Prices should be around $5 for and outfit and $2 for other items. Not $20 for an outfit and $10 for a pickaxe that took an artist one day to make.

Also remember Fortnite is available across the board (Xbox, PC, PS4, and now mobile) as well as having a story mode. So there's options of what to play on, and if you want PvP and/or a story.

And now you see kids why microtransactions are here to stay. Gotta get those super cool outfits.

"Free to play" is the key word.

Oh I get it, but it always cracks me up how people end up spending two and sometime three times the amount of a full price game in the end. It was a clever gimmick someone came up with to subtly milk people out of more than what they would have just paid for a full price game, that's why Gaas like offerings such as Game Pass are sheep in wolves clothing. Seem good on the surface but in the end they intend to bleed the gamer dry.

Not this excuse again. They made $126 million in one month. They could charge 1/4th the current prices of cosmetics and still do exceptional.

4 platforms vs 2 platforms and in early access. It's cazy how it made that much in a month off mt alone.
