Andrew from Xbox Enthusiast talks about whether Microsoft's "Biggest E3 Showing Ever" will result in new game announcements and unexpected reveals or if the larger space is a way of just attracting more people to the event.
They better hope it is bigger and better, at this point it has to be
Can't imagine why you'd say that, easily the best last year.
I'm an xbox fan and even I would say last year was somewhat disappointing.
Not about the size but how you use it
I’ll be surprised if Halo 6 or Gears of War 5 don’t get revealed
Its like you already know what's going to be revealed huh. How about a new Forza. So predictable
Hoping they go big and show a slew of XB/Win exclusives. They need them.
Yeah, they do. I'm hopeful that the things they present this year show initiative; meaning they have a few unexpected debuts and a studio acquisition or two. That and a couple of "predictables" and I'll be good with it. I'm also hoping that some of the showings use the DRX (Direct X Raytracing) update to DX12 as well (rolling out officially this spring), which will work on either a purely SW or a HW accelerated level. XB1's have the HW to do it. They are going to be talking more about it at GDC this year, but they've been working on it for roughly a year and it's already getting incorporated into Unreal, Frostbite, and Unity.
I don’t care what size they have on the floor they need exclusives!
By that do you mean Halo, Gears, Horizon, Ori, SoT, Crackdown etc are not exclusive enough for you or are you just wanting PS4 style exclusives?
I guess he wants more interactive motion tech demos
They just keep getting better every year, I'll expect this to improve again.
Scalebound re-announcement to release in XONEX will make sense.
That would probably be the biggest surprise
I hope so, if not that sucks.
E3 is always exciting for me. My expectations are never unrealistic. I expect a fun show from all three companies including MS.
Since most of their first party studios will finally release their games this year (after over 3 years of teasing they had to come out sometime) Sot, sod2, cr3, Ori 2. I can't see them revealing much besides Gears and Halo (and obviously forza horizon) because the ones who finally released their games are definitely not ready to show off the next chapter for their studio. I'm assuming they'll do like last year and show a bunch of 3rd party content disguised as "exclusive" muddying the water enough to confuse "gaming journalists" into making a bigger deal than what they're actually doing. It probably won't be all bad, I'm sure they actually have a new IP ready to show off (which will automatically become the next big thing for xbox enthusiasts) but I believe next year's E3 for both companies will be the one that shifts from this generation to the next. Can't wait for E3 for all gaming news...
It wouldnt be hard to top the last 4 e3's, but can they pull it off? Sea of Thieves and State of Decay are two games im glad we wont seeing AGAIN... The question is, what will be taking their place? Wasnt it already a rumor online that we wouldnt be seeing halo or gears this year?
