ONM writes: "Successfully summing up the concept behind Professor Layton And The Curious Village in a single sentence is hard, particularly if you want to make it sound as good as it actually is. You could say it's a puzzle-based adventure but then that'd give the impression that it's a point-and-click game a la Hotel Dusk, with the puzzles falling into the 'use key on locked door' mould. You could also say it's like Dr Kawashima's Brain Training wrapped in detective mystery clothing, but that'd make it sound really bland (because like it or not, Brain Training hardly qualifies as Game Of The Year material). And thanks to the utterly charming visual style, you could even say it's just like one of acclaimed Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki's movies (Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away) but in an interactive format."
