For a long time, Nintendo hasn't been a gaming company that touts the latest and greatest technology to sell its hardware. While Sony and Microsoft vie for the 4K crown with the powerful PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, for example, Nintendo has announced a DIY cardboard accessory for the Nintendo Switch that makes use of motion sensors and infrared.
s a somewhat risky approach that doesn’t always work – just look at the tragedy that was the Wii U – but when Nintendo gets the recipe right, you can be guaranteed of something pretty special. After one year of success with the Switch, it would appear that this is one of those times Nintendo’s calculated risk has paid off.
Publisher One or EIGHT and developer Team EARTH WARS will release physical standard and Deluxe editions of LOST EPIC for PlayStation 5 and Switch on August 8 in Japan, the companies announced.
Golf With Your Friends gets better again, with the introduction of a Critical Hit DLC pack and the launch of Speed Golf.
Between its innovative puzzles, impressive presentation, and undefeated vibes, Cocoon needs to be experienced on Xbox Game Pass and beyond.
I thought this was proved before with 3DS vs Vita. And Wii vs PS3/Xbox360. And DS vs PSP. And PS2 vs Xbox/GameCube. And Gameboy vs GameGear.
by the way... gaming is also more than indie ports with a few watered down aaa titles thrown in plus a very stale nintendo games formula.
Don't fool yourself Nintendo systematically released the handheld alongside a new Zelda with CERO games to back it up, the Nintendo brand and the new Zelda cause that thing to sell a lot and make a huge fuzz, if it wasn't for Zelda that thing would it be DOA!, down the road the following months were pure droplets of re-releases of the Wii U and hell! Nintendo did a terrific job re-advertising them as the big thing and making people to forget those are just damn re-releases of old games, then Mario arrives and the fad continues, this year is a different story Switch line up is bleak as hell and still over-expensive, gaming journalist Nintendo fan boys want to persist that Switch is the big thing by mentioning "oh is so hot", "year later still so great", "Nintendo Success", blah blah blah, but were are the new games? , were are the new IPs?, were are the triple A games?, yes you guessed it !, there are none, and there none because of that thing low specs, sorry but those are facts.
Nintendo is just one little rascal that likes to do money by creating/selling cheap stuff like the Switch, they still have lots of cash in their bags for screw ups and they will likely keep making cheap things until one of those cheap things hit a weak nerve in peoples mind and start selling, in this case the Switch sadly.
I buy Nintendo systems gor Nintendo AAA games anyways (just like the majority of the system owners) so power is not a big concern for the majority of games I'll buy each year. My Xbox One X is my goto system when I need power for the majority of games I'll buy this year.
The Switch is a nice alternative for the Nintendo Blockbusters and some portable play away from my 4K TV.
It's a vast ecosystem (gaming).... personally being wowed by the graphics makes it fun for me. Always has. Resolution wars needs to stop and push the realism. What a conundrum.
