“Larry Hryb, Graeme Boyd, Jeff Rubenstein, Alex Hebert, Lydia Ellery, and more.”

Can’t stand Major Nelson or Graeme Boyd. Xbox needs new blood.

Vectrexer288d ago

I'm sure anything Xbox You Can't stand.

Waaaaa cry me a river!

mark_parch288d ago

Larry Hryb is ok but Graeme Boyd is a bit annoying, he always comes across like he's presenting a kids show

They should call it the Daily Dook?

Jk, jk. Glad they'll be airing it on Twitch, Youtube, etc. Although I game on PS4 and Steam mostly, I do play some XB1 on PC.

This show looks cool, they'll give us updates every month or so on what's coming to Xbox.

"they'll give us updates every month or so on what's coming to Xbox."

Why are you 'joking'? Its true, unless they SUDDENLY change what they've been doing for the past decade....

NealGamby288d ago

Then you better knock that estimate down to about once or twice a year.

Septic288d ago

Ooh nice. Let's hope they show some good content.

Are you suggesting their main competitor don't promote multiplat titles? Seems to me they too think they are awfully important given how each year they leave the busy season mostly to them. Have your also not seen the top sales each month, which games are the majority?

Some of you need to step back and stop playing system wars. This could be a cool way to show stuff instead of Microsoft's usual 'only at E3 and nothing else matters' attitude.

You guys want them to do more so be optimistic for once.

Or much of the time will be spent hyping the advantages of the X, backwards compatibility/new BC games, and Game Pass.

SpaceRanger288d ago

Yes,I agree. Let’s hope.

This is what Xbox needs. More transparency, certain outlets are not focusing on Xbox game related news. This program allows Xbox to showcase all upcoming games. Love it. To Xbox gamers take advantage of this program. Let's mold the show to our liking and ask the questions that media does not.

"certain outlets are not focusing on Xbox game related news."

What does this even mean? There are tons of xbox articles all over the "media" and on N4G. If you look at the top list right now there are 4 xbox articles 4 PS4 and 2 Switch articles and the rest are generalized gaming articles.

"This program allows Xbox to showcase all upcoming games."

They have the entire internet to show anything they want. Sites like gamespot, eurogamer, ign, polygon, kotaku ect. would never turn down any information Microsoft wants to share. I guarantee there is a news outlet that will be happy to provide any information they want to share. Plus they have always been able to show games on their own outlets like "This week on Xbox"

"Let's mold the show to our liking and ask the questions that media does not."

Again what "media"? There have always been things like twitter and xbox forums and many other places to ask questions. But yes hopefully they will answer more questions and show more actual information and just make less hype filled statements.

That's a great ideal! Ask about release dates! ;)

Are you suggesting that MS doesn't get it's fair share of media attention? MS gets more time in the gaming press than any other company, because they keep posturing and making statements, and tend to show the same thing over and over again but slightly different enough to get attention, whereas Sony and even Nintendo tend to be more reserved and show things less often.

If you think that media outlets aren't focusing on xbox game related news, it's probably because there just isn't that much new Xbox game related news to report. Yet, despite this, MS still dominates most of the news itself. Just looking at the top stories here over a few months time proves this true.

What will MS realistically show off on this program that the rest of the media hasn't shown already, or that the rest of the media won't parrot as soon as MS shows it? This show will be nothing more than a preening PR show, that isn't anywhere close to unbiased, and it's not a news show, but a marketing channel. Sony had something similar with Qore back on the PS3. But that was a paid service, and Sony often did stories that had to do with the gaming industry, and not just Sony products. But the Sony related stuff was preening PR.

The problem isnt asking the right questions, its ms's actions that speak louder than words. Its comical how they have stated "The company plans to increase investment in developing in-house video games, including starting or acquiring studios to do so, Xbox chief Phil Spencer said in an interview last week." That’s an about-face from its approach the past several years, during which Microsoft has shuttered studios, cancelled games, and faced criticism at an industry conference from gamers for its lack of hot first-party titles. Microsoft wait until the launch of the xb1x before they choose to do this? Im not buying it. I feel the worst for xbox1 gamers that are still waiting for something that may never come. Its like sega all over again.

During the 360 gen its too bad you werent on all the way back in 2005 when you had to actually type the whole name before Back in 2005-2010 n4g was prodiminately a bunch of xbox ppl talking shit... same with gamestop... funny how the tides have turned and people wanna complain now that the shoe is on the other foot 😢😢😊
