Spring is almost here, and another update to Xbox One is not far behind. In fact, if you’re in the Xbox Insider Alpha Ring, your first look at the Spring update for Xbox One arrives today! As always, we’re listening to fan feedback and developing a brand-new set of features to make your Xbox One experience better than ever. Mixer streamers on Xbox One will have the option of sharing their controller with a Mixer viewer who is watching through Mixer.com. Streamers can share their entire controller (except the Xbox button) in the Xbox game they are playing, and a viewer can take control through the on-screen gamepad or by plugging a controller into their PC. Viewer and streamer can work together in the game, or the viewer can cause trouble – resulting in hilarious chaos. It’s your choice!

Wow!

WilliamSheridan2240d ago

Only possible with the low latency of mixer...

Shmeidi2240d ago

So I guess this is Microsoft's answer to Share Play?

thrust2239d ago

Is it only 1 hour tho like share play?

Software_Lover2239d ago

I would never use that, as I have never used share-play either. Cool feature for those interested though.

That is so awesome! MS is really doing their best to make the Xbox brand as appealing as possible. We all know about the exclusives blah blah blah but other than that MS is doing a really good job with customer service.

My Xbox One sometimes crashes. Especially If I'm streaming with Twitch on Xbox One. What happens is the system freezes when I'm playing a game and makes this loud screeching sound.

I wonder how this will work for MP games, Proxy CoD?

TheCommentator2239d ago

Would be nice if there were a way to use Mixer to play local coop games online (who knows why they even exist, but they do).

Sounds like a great update. Thumbs up.

How the hell do you get Alpha in the Insider program? Been trying for years lol

XMarkstheSpot2239d ago

The way they have it now is in the insider Hub is you have to apply for the ring you want. Might need to apply to beta first to apply to Alpha though idr

MetroidFREAK212239d ago

I currently am in the "Beta" ring... been there for awhile now :P

Keep doing quests/surveys and submitting feedback and posting feedback on the preview forums.

I've been alpha since they separated it out, but I'm very active with my feedback.

MetroidFREAK212239d ago

I try to be as well. As soon as it is available for me to do :)

UnholyLight2239d ago

You have to keep doing the surveys or pop up quests and submitting feedback which earns you XP toward the next ring or whatever it's called.

Will have to see if it's available, thanks for the heads up
