Should we expect Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

Kingdom Come Deliverance is out for more than a week, and it had a very successful launch. Maybe not for players who were annoyed by the existing but diminishing bugs, but the sale numbers are great. And the question is simple. Will we get Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 or another Kingdom Come? What do we know so far? What has revealed Daniel Vávra in the Czech TV interview?

Are you kidding me? We haven’t even gotten the first game working correctly, with a frame rate that’s all over the place and visuals that are subpar for even a late PS3 and Xbox 360 game. Get your first, current game running the way it should have at launch before you start talking about a second game or anything else.

When I see the current game in a patched form that rivals Homefront: The Revolutions(it also uses the CryEngine) 8th patch, meaning a locked 30fps and 1800p on the X, 1440p on the Pro... then I will consider it a success. If they leave it as is, many people will never buy another game from them again. I know they are working on patches, but they have to get them done in a timely manner... if they want a hope of making things right with the gamers who bought it.

I understand that publishers and investors push developers to get a game out the door before it’s truly ready… But the proof of concept comes after the company releases the game and the developer continues working on making it as perfect as they possibly can.

I’m not trying to sound overly harsh, but the game should’ve never released in the state it was originally in and even after the first patch it still has multiple issues, with visuals that are a shadow of videos past. With many investors who originally supported the title feeling a bit misled.

I’m hoping for the best for this title, because the gameplay is good. Everything just needs polish and the visuals need to meet the original vision presented to initial investors in the project. Homefront: The Revolution proved that it can be done in CryEngine. Now its time for War Horse to prove it can be done in their game.

Well, that's true. But still, there are much worse games at launch and I think that if you start playing in a month or so, the situation will be completely different. It's just a temporary issue...

*cough* Bethesda *cough*

Mr-Dude176d ago

Now, you are right in what you are saying. And I hope when the next Bethesda title comes out, and it is buggy as hell ( we all now it is gonna be) you and others who react to this games problems, will react then aswell. Because Fallout 4, Skyrim still have bugs thay aren't even fixed.. And those games are out for quite some time now, and nobody give a shit.

:-)

Hold on now, everybody memes the shit out of bethesda for how broken their games are and still are lol

This game was not intended to come out on consoles simultaneously with the PC version. A publisher got involved and here we are.

I can run the game perfectly acceptable on my PC and I have found little bugs in game. I have changed a few annoyances with mods but that's the choice we get on PC.

You change the game to suit your taste with mods. We can also add post processing effects to make the game look much better than release.

You chose the console version and should accept you have a limited closed off PC in a box. It does not have the features and choices that a PC gamer has at their disposal.

Play the game on console for what it is and I'll do the same but with choices to make changes how I see fit on PC.

"Are you kidding me? We haven’t even gotten the first game working correctly, with a frame rate that’s all over the place and visuals that are subpar for even a late PS3 and Xbox 360 game"

then

"I’m not trying to sound overly harsh"

What game are you playing, visuals are awesome and the game overall is savage even with the bugs and glitches.
Again i will say this, people just jumping on the downgrade bandwagon, who would not even have noticed till someone brought it to peoples attention. And i backed this game DAY1 ,YES, DAY1 and i am not feeling misled at all, so stop putting words into other peoples mouths, for such a small budget the game turned out the way i hoped and future patches will correct the wrong. GET OVER IT ALREADY.

The Kingdom Come Deliverance that has just been released is only Act 1 of 3.

So yes there will be more to come.

It is buggy but so was and still are most of Bethesda games to date like Skyrim and Fallout 4.

It will be improved over time. Despite these bugs I think it's one of the best RPGs to come out over the last few years. It won't beat The Witcher series but it's close.

The devs intend to release Act 2 and 3 within the next 2 years. I backed the game on kickstarter if you are wondering how I know all this. It was all there in the kickstarter campaign.

I agree with you but to be fair Fallout 4 wasn't really that buggy.

KeenInformer175d ago

Well, what you say was correct few years ago. Yes, they said it is just part 1. But from the interview it looks differently now. Daniel said nothing about part two or three which I would expect. So hard to say now...

TheOttomatic91176d ago

Jesus the first game just came out give it some time will ya?

_-EDMIX-_175d ago

Yup

Why not? It looks like this game was actually a pretty big success financially. I'm fully expecting a sequel in the next couple of years.

The game has some great ideas and exploring the world is a lot of fun but, like everyone else is saying it just needs tons of polish. Maybe with a bigger budget a game under their belt the next one can be much better.
