Just saw the trailer, hopefully if this does well it means they'll make a new Burnout next.

Nyxus120d ago

Yeah I would really like a new one. Though I prefer the style of previous Burnout games over the open world of Paradise.

SickSinceSix120d ago

Agreed, 3 is still my favorite in the series.

Nyxus120d ago

@ SickSinceSix: same here, in fact it's one of my favorite racing games of all time.

The Wood120d ago

Paradise was my favourite burnout. . . I was engrossed for the longest

Forn120d ago

I am interested in this, but EA should have actually done remakes of Burnout 3 and Revenge imo. I feel like this is more of a simple cash grab project. Ridiculous how this getting all the attention today, when the new Onrush trailer released and looks incredible! Ugh. That game better sell truck loads because I feel like it deserves it more. Also, EA, bring SSX back you idiots!

Stogz120d ago

Agreed I really loved Revenge, would love a sequel to he more like that than paradise.

letsa_go120d ago (Edited 120d ago )

No crash mode, no buy! That is really all I wanted from the Burnout series. Instead we have that crappy Danger Zone game. Besides, I already have this on steam and can play it in 4k.

DarXyde120d ago

Agreed.

They should've remastered Revenge. I hated Paradise.

bouzebbal120d ago

Amazing game back in 2008.. Got platinum for this.
2018 however....

GTgamer120d ago

Paradise was hands down the best its not even a competition

EazyC120d ago

Maybe this is to test the waters, to see if people will still buy Burnout. I'm all in!

Retroman120d ago

Hell i dont like Burnout. but after criterian games and ghost games studio FK-UP nfs i'll learn to love burnout.

Retroman120d ago

Hope so. last decent NFS was 2002 mostwanted. remaster Burnout is welcome compare to : criterion rivals,mostwanted,hotpursuit,2 015 reboot, payback craptastic games. including ghost games 3 games. cant go backwards, using firestick remote.

The 10th Rider120d ago

EA turned Criterion into a small support studio, if a new one was made it would probably be from the recent NFS devs and I wouldn't expect much from it.

Gotcha5120d ago (Edited 120d ago )

already have the damn game on BC just gave me the enhancement for that... an call it a day EA.
or maybe do a some what Disney plan and take the franchise away and give it someone who can do it right.

Relientk77120d ago

Wish they would just make another Burnout

NealGamby120d ago

Me too. But, I'll gladly take this in the meantime. My first platinum'd game.

ChrisW120d ago

Wish EA wasn't publishing it

GamesMaster1982120d ago (Edited 120d ago )

This is the Only half decent thing EA has done right these past few years. I will revisit this love the Burnout series, just can't stand real racing sim's they bore me to death, i need crashes and carnage to thumping soundtracks.

vickers500120d ago

Same here. Burnout Paradise (along with Mario Kart, and a bit of Twisted Metal) are the only racing/driving games I like. Burnout Paradise is definitely my favorite racing game.

hamzilla120d ago

@vickers500 if you like Twisted Metal... you otta pickup Carmageddon Max Damage on whatever system you play on you might like that one too!

IamTylerDurden1120d ago

Please stop with the hyperbole, Battlefield 1 was universally praised and it reviewed and sold exceptionally well. They also are supporting a very creative original IP in A Way Out which is releasing in March. I understand it's cool right now to hate on everything EA, but it's silly to discredit everything associated with them in the process.

_-EDMIX-_120d ago

Agreed

I think the extreme approach is getting a bit silly and ridiculous I understand that the publisher isn't doing too well in regards to their most recent actions but I don't think that's suddenly going to discredit all the other things they've done. Battlefield 1 is an amazing game and I still play that game today.

ChrisW120d ago

Don't get your hopes up. EA will find a way to nickle and dime us with microtransactions. Probably not just vehicles, but tracks and game types.

GamesMaster1982120d ago

Oh you can bet your ass they will. #FUCKEA worse than Konami by a long distance.

Obscure_Observer120d ago

@above

You wish. EA already confirmed that there will not be any MTs in Burnout Paradise Remaster.

ChrisW119d ago

Obscure_Observer,

Sorry, until the game is released and 100% proven that there won't be any MTs, I, and many others, won't believe them.

gamer7804120d ago

Cool but id rather work on a new one. Already have the original for free on xbox

Pancit_Canton120d ago (Edited 120d ago )

They probably just add Micro-transaction/Loot Boxes and the label "remastered" on the box.

Marcello120d ago

We’ve given Burnout Paradise a complete graphics overhaul, with high-resolution textures and a range of technical enhancements designed to deliver all the high-octane chaos with an almost irresponsible level of visual fidelity.

Lets give em a chance first before we judge. If thats to be believed then there certainly trying harder than Ubisoft.

SickSinceSix120d ago (Edited 120d ago )

Apparently not, from EA's webpage for the remaster,
"WHAT ABOUT THE DLCS? YOUR BURNING QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Take a good look at the eight main DLC packs from the year of Paradise that’ll be coming along for the ride with Burnout Paradise Remastered
We know you’ve got a lot of questions about what cars and content from the original DLC packs will be in Burnout Paradise™ Remastered, so let’s go ahead and put the pedal down and dive in.

All of it. All the cars, all the events, all the content. Plus the eight main add-ons from Year of Paradise are in there. The Time Savers Pack is out, but that just unlocked all the existing cars. It was basically a cheat code. Who even uses cheat codes now?

So just to recap, the eight main add-ons from the Year of Paradise will be in Burnout Paradise Remastered. You’re welcome."

Nitrowolf2120d ago (Edited 120d ago )

That didnt exactly answer what he stated, only that all past dlc will be released.

Doesnt mean micri transactions wont be in it, as in new content or ways to charge you.

Ill wait and see

Silly gameAr120d ago

I'm surprised about that, but I'm all for it.
