Can you play this without the patch? I am on xbox one x and have it installed via the disc, everytime I go to play it tells me I have to install the 21 gigs(will take me days). Can I just unplug the internet or am I forced to download?

Okay answered my own question...yeah just unplug the internet...im stupid. Oh well we will see how buggy this is without the patch after a few errands

I hate that's its come the point where games are released buggy or broken and the person who bought the game is just suppose to wait or have to download the big day1 patch for it to be playable

Well, because games today are more complex than past genreations. This is only inevitable and I'm sure when very powerful hardware becomes standard games will only improve. These are independent studios doing massive projects, so chill.

Also why I begrudgingly feel like I have to wait for the goty/complete edition of a game, in other words a year later, I can't go through with buying something and never having the more or less complete game at hand without the worry of future support just no longer being there when I need to patch it everytime I want to replay it

Games aren't more complex, they're less complex, were talking about lines of code not of how pretty it looks or how big an openworld you can make, and no I won't chill, you shoud get what you pay for, you're car you bought doesn't come with a day1 patch job where you have to wait for a mechanic to fix you're cars ignition when you want to drive it out of the show room stop excepting it as the norm sht like this wouldn't happen
