Gadgets 360 says: 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance comes with a massive day one patch download. Here's what you need to know.'
23GB?? holy cow
Hey guys, the article is updated with a quote from me. Please read it for context.
No, it's a quote from me! Please gimme a click!
Talk about adding "insult to injury" the base game size is 24.76 GB and now you have to download an additional 23GB and the game is not even available till the 13th February 2018 https://gameidealist.com/ne... Here's hoping that if you purchase the game via digital download it will have the patch applied although somehow I doubt it, still we will have to wait and see. BTW. The last Witcher 3 update was about 17GB but the base game install size was about 50GB.
Keep the game.
I guess they did a lot of polishing these last months :D
Good lord, thats as big as some games.
I want to like this game because it’s something that I would usually enjoy but this game looks super boring to me for some reason. Not hating and if I am I’m hating on myself.
Yeah, it looked interesting when it was revealed, but I’ve yet to see anything that makes it a day one for me. I already have enough games on my plate, so I’m already not open to buying more. I hope it comes out, and is an amazing game. Nothing wrong with picking up a game a bit after it’s release.
I think the premise will turn out to be more interesting than the actual game. I am interested in the game as well, but I'll wait a bit. I'm sure it will be patched to hell the first couple of months and I don't see it selling really well even if it gets good reviews. The price will drop fairly quickly.
Because it’s white people. Don’t worry, it’s not modern white people with first world problems. Fruitcakes having aneurisms over the most trivial things to ever grace the debate stage. White people were different back then, it should be interesting.
@solid You know who I’m talking about. The self-appointed, self-hating slack jawed ambassadors of whiteness. The half baked intellectuals with baby soft hands.
Hmm I’m not sure I get your point but cool?
Wtf are you on about now?
@ashlen Speak of the devil. What’s up my friend? It’s been awhile.
I think opinion is describing the self hating sjw.
I have been in the game since day one. The events the opening video recount should be thrilling. They should build interest. Nope. It's like watching grass grow. The game itself, and I have several other posts here at N4G stating this, is boring. When I tell you this game is a sleeper, I do not mean that in a good way.
Thats another game....
That's nuts. Not everyone can download that fast.
True, I might cancel my pre order... I moved to the country 7 months ago and have horrible dsl... I'm sick of large patches and updates... 23gigs is a 3 plus day download. That's almost the size of the game on the disc... There is no reason why more of this couldnt have been added to the disc.
This isn’t an online game you can play the game without the patch
10 years ago if you would have told me games would have patches bigger than 20gb I would have laughed.
Makes sense. Will wait for reviews though n sale
That kills it for me.
I have unlimited broadband but 23GB is going to slow down my network for a few hours. Still, I do have a lot of games pending (some AAA) and quite a few on my "to purchase list" so I can wait.
Un cyrus and Lord sloth are obviously trolls but serious u guys and gals there is a post from me that sets the record straight dont forget to click
well thats a very good reason for me to pass on this game, thats insane
"this is a major patch that improves overarching mechanics throughout the game, so it touches almost all of these 2GB archives in the entire game build. Essentially you are having to redownload the game to replace the existing files. It shouldn't stack them and inflate on your harddrive, but rather replace the previously downloaded build files,"
Passing on a game because o a patch that makes the game better? Not me, I'll get it and hopefully it's as awesome as the concept.
Twenty-three gigabytes for a day one update patch screams 'shoddy production schedule.' (Edit: Which does not mean it will necessarily be a shoddy game.) A lot of studios are starting to figure in manufacturing time into their programming cycle—which is manipulative and simply bad business. Release. The. Game. When. It. Is. Done.
You. Have. No. Idea. How. Video. Game. Development. And. Publisher. Relationships. Work.

Hey, gamerpop, you catch that interview from the developer on N4G today explaining exactly what I suggested? Maybe next time relax with your desire to argue with someone.
"In a later post he clarified that the file size remains the same for those buying it digitally with those buying the game on disc stuck with a larger file size." I am definitely happy I preordered digital on this one.. I usually buy physical, but my brother and I buy games we both want as digital so we both get to have the game.
