Almost a year after release and Guerrilla Games are still frequently updating Horizon Zero Dawn. Update 1.52 is LIVE to download.
thank for updating this masterpiece. My little daughter is begining its first ride on the game!
*her. and mine, too. :-)
That's awesome to hear guys! Appreciate the comment. I don't have a daughter but I'm glad they have some positive media.
About your daughter - is it human ? :P
Lamboonington, I thought that was kind of funny. Amazing how hard it is for readers to take a joke, recently.
@Xenophon_York @Lamboomington @Leahcim So you found it funny Xeno .. are others supposed to find it funny simply because you did (Rhetorical) ? ... your thoughts on other ppls sense of humour isn't worth a red cent in the grand scheme of things, and the same can be stated re; my opinion on your worthless post. Seems these days, so many actually believe what enters their mind is somehow more important than anyone else's. Not sure the individual even wanted running commentary about their Daughter, but it is funny to me that you honed in on that aspect and mention nothing about the actual HZD update. Perhaps you should keep it gaming, and get over yourself. Anyhoo, another awesome update, for an awesome game ...
Cool you got one of those Daughter bots too....
Damn work on the sequel should be going well too!
Yeah, when updates are still rolling out a year later, it means the engine is still getting polish, which means they're using it for something. Excited to see what's next, though they can take their time. Lots of great stuff coming soon from all around us.
I hope that sequel is in development right now as well. I need another ASAP!
I’m not sure if I want a “sequel”. Definitely same world tho!
We already know there will be a sequel. Sylens has captured the remnants of Hades to use himself. I'm sure he's up to no good and that visual cue at the end was a hint for the next game.
I wish that Guerrilla Games made Monster Hunter.
No thanks, they are different games and are both awesome.
We can dream.
Why? Both a pretty damn good games. However, I think GG can borrow some features from MH for HZD2. Like the online co op ect.
Umm Horizon was supposed to have co op but it was scrapped last minute. Horizon 2 will likely have it.
MHW's online Co-op structure is the LAST thing it should borrow!
@Tylerdurden definfitly since Death Stranding is having co-op mechanics built into it, will probably use some form of that for their next game
Not a bad idea, but Capcom's MHW is a very good game. Sony has many titles that are being wasted now. Guerrilla could grab some of them.
MHW is amazing, no doubt. But the UI is weird, convoluted, and unnecessarily complicated. There's a ton of unnecessary complexity to really simple things in MH. The entire lobby system is weird. I'm sure with 30 hours or so into the game I'll be used to it, but the UI's learning curve is silly for what is actually a really simple game. There's a smoothness and quickness to Horizon that just isn't present in MH. Both in menus and gameplay.
I would KILL for a ropecaster in MHW.
it is a little repetitive isn't it?
Best game of this gen
Can't wait to see them work on another killzone game with everything they learned from this one. I feel like it would be amazing!
Same here. I hope they make a new one soon.
Idk why but I can't get into this game. I bought it and only got like 3 hrs in and completely lost interst. Either I'm completely wrong and it's excellent or people are in love with it mostly because it looks incredible.
Maybe you should give it a 2nd shot or maybe it's just not your type of game. 3 hours in you barely scratched the surface. It DOES look incredible but that is just the cherry on top of awesome gameplay and a great story...
"great story" hahahahahaa oh common! the game is fantastic, but you don't have to pretend it actually has a story. "You're part of the 5th fleet too?" isnt a story. hahaha I love this game though!
@ yeah okay I'm talking Horizon ZD, not MH (and i think he is too). I haven't started MH but I know it doesn't have a story...
3 hours is a long enough time to see if you like a game or not. If you're not sold then, I don't understand why playing it more would help.
3 hours in is not long enough. Once u beat the first area and u can go explore the world, that's when the game really starts. The first 3 hours is story and tutorial. Once u can go anywhere u want. And u played 3 hours. And u don't like it. Than the game isn't for u.
I had to give it 2 shots, myself. It was REALLY off-putting when i first started playing. Mainly the UI being so weird and messy and just not understanding it. This is the first time I've ever played a Monster Hunter game. I'm about 11 hours in now and things are starting to make a little sense. It's quite enjoyable now and I'm glad I forced down the first 8 hours or so.
Why are you talking about Monster Hunter? This is an article about Horizon Zero Dawn. He's obviously talking about not liking Horizon.
I fell in love with it (HZD) because of game play and the story. How it looks was just secondary...
"Either I'm completely wrong and it's excellent or people are in love with it mostly because it looks incredible". Neither of those is the case. No one is wrong for not liking something but looking incredible is not why many of us do like it. For me it's the incredible looking graphics as well as the story, the characters, the gameplay and setting. The awesome and varied way to to take down the machines as well as how cool most of the machines are. I recommend trying again and getting past the proving which is when the world really opens up but at the end of the day if it's not clicking, there's no point in worrying about it.
So many places this world can go. World Building at it's finest. Haven't been this engrossed in a fictional world in a LONG time.
Always supporting the game... After i am done with plat. Division i will Play Frozen wild side by side with D2
This game is phenominal! I know it shouldn't bother me, but I was pretty pissed off when this game didn't win GOTY at most of the major websites last year. Zelda and Mario were awesome, but HZD was in a league of it's own imo. Also, unlike Zelda and Mario, Guerilla Games actually did an amazing job of the DLC in Horizon. People get so blinded by the names Mario and Zelda sometimes.
I feel bad for Guerrilla Games, they worked for over half a decade on this game only for it to be an after thought against Breath of the Wild, it just shows that Sony developers lack the talent to compete with the best of the industry.
