Why Doom Is My Stressbuster: : Talking About The FPS Of The Generation

For all the games that feature violence, there are very few that embody it like Doom does, especially the 2016 reboot.

It's quite simply one of the most mediocre game, and FPS, I've ever played in my whole life as a gamer. No story, 3 characters only, 3 environments only (the UCA facility, Mars and hell), only a dozen levels, level design both tortuous and bland, hell is actually just a few rocks floating in the air, every level is comprised of soulless corridors interspersed with a few open arenas reminiscent of the early Quake games with herds of monsters that suddenly appear from nowhere, always in the same order, and are overpowered even on the easy difficulty setting, you always run short of bullets/rounds, etc.
No, just no.
How Doom 2016 can be considered a good game, let alone a hit, by some is baffling. They even got the pistol wrong, it shouldn't be a laser gun, and what they call the "double-barrel shotgun", it shouldn't be like-the-shotgun-just-more-pow erful, it should've been like in the original Doom games: a freakin' hunting rifle.
There are a few tidbits of the original games here and there that fool you into thinking this is going to be a decent sequel/spin-off/reboot, but in the end it's just an average game.

Play Killzone 2 or 3 if you wanna know what a proper FPS is. Heck play Killzone 1 on the PS2 (or the remastered version on the PS3), it's worlds better.
Thank god I only paid it 9 bucks, but even at that price I feel ripped off.

Only good thing is the chainsaw, but you don't get to use it enough due to the lack of gas canisters.

I think many would disagree with you.

I don't even see why people always jump to this weird either or argument it's like I think someone could like Doom just like they could like Kill Zone 2 both games don't need to be carbon copies of each other for someone to like both.

Disagree entirely. Doom was incredible. One of the most polished, optimized games I have ever seen. The game play was just so cool. Loved everything about it. each their own.

The thing about Doom is it did not need to have some super crazy complex compelling story Doom has never really been about narrative it's simply just been about shooting a bunch of stuff and having really good gameplay elements.

It is not even trying to say that Doom is better than Killzone or Killzone is better than Doom simply that both games were created for two different concepts.

What are you talking about? Did you even play the game? By your comments it’s obvious you haven’t.

Why does doom need a story? You complain there was no story then complain it’s not enough like the original. Well. Do you want your cake and to eat it too? Jesus.

Never had that chainsaw problem you’re complaining about. Never ran out of ammo and I beat the game on nightmare.

Lol complaining a shotgun behaves like a shotgun.

Sounds like you’re just terrible at it tbh.

Killzone 3 was a bad game. Killzone 2 was ok. There’s a reason that franchise didn’t do very well. Out of the 4 games only ONE was good.

Jesus kid grow up. No one agrees with you hipster.

I think Doom is a perfect example of going back to basics and focusing on conservative Concepts

Many times Games keep trying to reinvent the wheel when in reality some intellectual properties simply just need to focus on what the previous did really good.
